First, I want to acknowledge and agree with other CTC comments on this wine.It might be peaking(PKATZ) and given the medium body (AAJDER) and mild tannins (NERAS), I don't see that it could have many more good years. We had a bottle poured into a carafe by the helpful staff at L'Artusi in West Village and timidly took a sip, expecting it to be closed up and tannic. But, noy at all. The wine was very approachable right away. The interesting this about it was the flavor remained constant - constantly rich, cherry flavors. so many high end wines evolve ov the course of two hours. Not this one. Yes, it is elegant and full of fruit (AAJDER) but I disagree with NERAS who thought it 'didn't pull the pants down'. It did!

Not as expressive on the nose as I recall. Slowly opening up over the evening, but not really pulling the pants down.

Some good red fruit and spice. A showy wine for its price point. At Season's 52 restaurant in Princeton.

    6/7/17, 10:54 AM - Hello, again,TASHNYC
As you can see from my photo on my "page" we made it to Left Bank. Really liked the food, ambience, and free corkage (a Monday). This time, they used real glasses. Not fancy stemware, but suitable enough. BTW, you might try Pasquale Jones (Lafayette St.), which has a good wine list and they use ZALTO crystal stemware. The place has great food and has a real buzz. We're not young, but we enjoy being in a young crowd. I do favor L'Artusi though. Please let me know of good places to enjoy wine south of Houston. Oh, be sure to avoid the super hot "Le Coucou" (Lafayette, just north of Canal). The wine pricelist is ridiculously overpriced and the corkage fee is NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS! A votre sante, Peter Johnson
