I loved this wine. I wish it was still being made. Adding 10% of Petit Verdot turned this Pinot from a challenging vintage into something exceptional.

White- Green & Flinty - Sauv Blanc. Fresh, minerality, apple, pear, subtle grass. Unfortunately, like many sauv blancs, it triggered acid issues for me, so I couldn't finish the glass.

This vintage offers a generous core of spicy, mineral-accented flavors. I think 2012 is vying to be the best vintage year on record for Oregon wine.

Per Sokol Blosser: exhibits notes of ripe raspberry, baking spice and tarragon. The signature Jory soil terroir with its spicy mineral finish is well represented in this wine. Possessing great depth of pure fruit flavor, strong structure, acid, and persistent length.

Per drinkhacker.com: C+, light barnyard, lots of wet earth

This was K&L wine club selection, & I ordered a few more bottles because I enjoyed it, especially at the $10 price point.

For $10, I liked it and would buy again.

They say honey with spice notes, with green apple & beeswax. Started with a bit of as sharp astringency, but it smoothed out quickly. I enjoyed it.

It was a dark garnet in the glass. The wine had a medium to light body, which I was glad to discover. It was the first time I saw 'black olive' in the notes for the bouquet, and I could sense what they were talking about. It was an accessible, inviting glass of wine, not too bold or peppery, not too weak, but subtly memorable, with a nice long finish.

Let me start by saying that I was apparently late in opening this wine. The zin had a nice garnet color. The legs if any were fast, as basically nothing clung to the glass. The bouquet was of berries leaning toward strawberry. The taste followed with elements of strawberry, cherry, blackberry, and honey flavors. The zin's body was medium, had a round texture, and left me with a medium finish. I can imagine that in its prime, there was more body, tannins, and with a bit less honey. Still a very enjoyable win.
