This wine is a mystery with the blend a "closely guarded secret." Limited production of 100 cases for this vintage. Very rich and bold. Almost black in the glass. Aromas of cocoa, cherry and prune. Flavors of dark fruits, chocolate, plum and licorice. Full mouth feel, structured but very approachable. Moderately long finish. In a crowded field of red blends, this wine is a real pleaser and worth the money if it can be found.

Pinot Noir Night - Chilean shocker (Extra Space): Pop and poured. Drank over 45 minutes.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, purple colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of ripe red cherries, sweet cola, stony minerality. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of red cherries, dark red cherries, sweet cola, toasty oak, stony minerality. Flavour finishes shortish but alcohol heat lingers on.
Acceptable quality. Competently made, but rather uninteresting Russian River Valley Pinot. Too much alcohol heat and big body for my Pinot taste preferences. Not sure if this is going anyhere with further ageing. Drink up I say.
