2007 Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga Fontalloro Toscana IGT Sangiovese
Barely stained cork extracted easily. Clear but not transparent red. Fresh, but muted aromas. Tamed tannins, good acidity, savory elements beating out the fruit. Good balance overall. As with virtually all Italian wines, have this one with food.

    10/31/15, 6:45 AM - Since you asked, Italian wines always seem "better" the closer to their origin they are consumed, so the supply chain from there to here is always a factor in pleasure in the bottles. Based just on this bottle, I would say that I will drink my other bottles as soon as I come across them, maybe saving one to see if it can make it to the putative 2022 end of its drinking window. . .
