Brilliant bottle. From the medium garnet bordering on ruby colour you wouldn't guess this is 12 years old.
The nose reveals beautiful complexity and elegance combining red fruits with brooding dark forest floor. Strongly reminds of Hermitage (La Chapelle 1996 but more youthful and vibrant).
Develops further in the glass with black and red fruit balanced with vibrant acidity. Need to find more of this!

FURTHER REMARKS: great wine with a very attractive sweet nose. Well balanced, great complexity but at the same time the fruit is still very present. Smooth and pleasant taste that lingers. Given the fruit intensity this will last for years to come. Yummie, this is even better than the '96 which is more brooding.
