Very young at this point. The color is almost a bit inky, so was the palate. The best part of the drinking experience was the aroma. It was intense and perfumy. Very pure and concentrated red fruits, violet. Tannin is a bit rough right now. It should evolve nicely in the next 5-8 years.

Hard to believe this is a regional wine. The color is medium garnet, so I thought it'd be over the peak, but oh wow the aroma! It was like holding a bunch of flowers and fruits right next to your nose. On the palate, it was elegantly sumptuous with lively acids, velvety and smooth tannins and a long, pleasant finish.

This is a very good example how humble Bordeaux ages beautifully. Medium bodied, subtle and intricate. At 20 years old, it still got youthful black currant - but nothing overpowering. Tannins are integrated. After a few bottles of this, you really start to question why people pay hundreds for inky, syrupy, and high alcohol new world cab...

More like a Russian river pinot than a Sonoma coast. Nice to drink for the fruitiness and aroma. It's a bit concerning to see 15% alcohol though.

Just had our last bottle of 2007. Almost 10 years old, it's bold and mature. Powerful with cassis, black fruits, scent of wood. It drank beautifully without any air time. I had quite some 07 SM before, and you can tell this is a wine that ages really well, compared how closed it was just two years ago. Impressive! Wish we had bought more.

Quite a delightful Char. It is creamy but not overly oaky. Paired excellently with lentil curry, clams with garlic and white wine, and a steamed whole fish.

PnP. The wine is very much closed. Not much aroma. With a strong swirl you can smell cassis and woody notes.

(The note below is right on point. Should have checked Cellartracker before opening this one - but we couldn't find the '07 in our cellar....)

California Chardonnay at its best. Balanced and long lasting. Paired with a pear salad, baguette slices with Mt. Tam (a triple cream from the bay area) and 24-month-old Comte. It was beautiful and smooth.

Amazing wine at its peak time. It is full bodied, round, and layered. Tannin is soft and elegant at this point. It really shows how a fine napa cab should age. Paired with Lamb lion steak.

One of the most well-balanced California Pinot I've tasted. Hints of raspberry and cherry. Nothing overpowering. Great wine.

Outstanding. The aroma and mouth feel are profound yet well balanced: Citrus oil and blossom, apple, pear, bright acidity and long finish. Worth aging.
Fun anecdote: right after the pick-up event at Littorai, we tasted another Chards from Radio Coteau, who also sourced the fruits from Charles Heintz. One can certainly tell the similarity between these two. I take it as genuine expression of the terror.

Tasted at the spring pick-up day. Pivot stands out from the tasting flight of 5 pinots. Both floral and fruity, feminine and bright acidity, very elegant mouth feel, and long finish.

Very smooth and pleasant. The finish is a bit shorter than you would expect from a nice 2009 napa cab, but it is well balanced and easy to drink. Great for a small gathering.

Upon opening it had a little heat, which went away after an hour. Cherry, earthy, green paper(?). The wine is a little too short at finish.

Needs to be decanted for at least an hour. Still a bit too tight. It was not as good as 2007, but still an excellent Cab.

A wonderful California pinot noir. We probably opened it too young, but it was quite drinkable nevertheless. Berries with a warm spice note. Long and complex finish. Requires no food pairing. It was just smooth and delicious on its own.

Very impressive bouquet. Satisfying finish. To my taste, the acidity is a BIT of high for a pinot, but we enjoyed it very much.

Had a couple of 375ml bottles. It was pleasant and silky. A bit tight upon open, but after half hour it became a gem. Each bottle had some crystal sediments, which I see as a sign of wine made by traditional methods...

This is a pinot noir that needs to be decanted. Tight and high acidity at the begenning. Upon opening, crimson color, very distinctive strawberry and fragrant floral nose, so fragrant that it might discourage you. The following evening, though, it became beautiful, elegant, complex, with long finish. Not an ordinary pinot noir.

As a napa cab, it's at the thin end of the spectrum. Inky color, with vanilla and chocolate nose. Soft tannin. Not very impressive. The bottle is capped with a glass cork - supposedly the wine is ready to be drunk anytime, and not made to age?

Served it at a party after some rose wine. Garnet color, black berries, cherries. Very smooth tannin, tastes seamless and round, not a typical napa cab. The bottle had some sediments.

A solid everyday wine. Not sure about other vintages, but 2007 is very well balanced. It's tempranillo based, but makes me think of a fine pinot noir. It paired perfectly with Chinese seafood sause sautéed vegetables.

Last but not the least, we bought it in Costco and it was such a great deal!!!

This is the first New Zealand cab I've ever had. It came up as bold and chewy at the beginning. licorice, a hint of green peper. We used a simple aerator and waited for about 30 minutes. After that, the wine became softer, blackberry and currant showed up, nicely balanced. There was a good medium finish.

Tasted after being left open for 40 minutes. Ruby color. Elegant, well-balanced, with long and impressive finish. Cherry, pensil lead, black cassis, black berry, paired with prime rib. Note for myself: It should be decanted for longer and poured more carefully - the wine became better after an hour, but last glass had much residual.

It is a typical everyday napa cab, nicely balanced, with flavors of blackberry, currants, and hints of cherry. After an hour, it shows spicy aroma, then mediam finish with a sweet edge of licorice. Bought it 20 dollars from Trader Joe's.
