Very nice drinking. Lacking expression on the nose but it is multi-layered on the palate with wave after wave of pleasure rolling into a long finish. Fruit has fled. Medium body and pleasing, if not exceptional.

I was expecting very little when I opened this bottle, thinking it was some years too late. But boy was I wrong. Muted in all respects when first opened, it burst in my glass after 20-30 minutes. A fine, saline nose and quite delicate, slightly faded mouth feel that grew in intensity as it hit the back palate and lingered beautifully for several seconds. A super pleasure to drink and real surprise after 12 years. We'll see about day 2...

Well the window was a small one and it’s about closed. This bottle started sour and opened a bit over an hour with decant. Food nearly saved it and certainly enhanced whatever fruit is left, calling out vestiges if it’s core. But the thrill is gone

This wine has definitely added much character and is in good drinking window now. Tuscan white bean and kale spicy stew brought out it's best, with hints of plum emerging on nicely full bodied palate. Very tasty and successful, at last

Disappointing. Muted nose and palate. Wine had lost its abundant fruit and appeal of earlier tastings. This train left the station a while ago and ain't never coming back

This had fine acidity and structure but it lacked pop. Muted nose and a fairly one dimensional palate. Nice drinking but not special

While this wine m la cans elegance and finesse it is still in fine form at 12 years and offers body dark fruit and density. Nice drinking for a few years to come

This wine is in excellent drinking window now. It has the familiar #3 extraction with hints of blackberry. A long time corbiere favorite and for good reason

Hard to imagine better QPR than this wine offered. Minerality, weight and finess filled the palate and left it screaming for more. The magnum was perfect format for Solan's birthday and set a festive note that this wine fully merited, despite it's low cost point. Superb!

This wine, in a lesser CNP year, was just perfection for my palate. It had all the hallmark qualities of the appellation-- ripe fruit, concentration-- but in moderation making it a wine of finesse and pleasure rather than the explosion that I too often find in CNP these days. I enjoyed it more than the highly rated St Prefere A.Favier we drank the other night, even though it was less complex. Midweight but still with good long finish, this is a lovely food wine and will be a pleasure to drink over the coming 1-2 years.

Tried first bottle of a case and very pleased. AlreAdy harmonized and very satisfying after 1 hour decant. Faint banana notes on palate that somehow worked with Nicole’s delicious duck soup

Needed a decant and an hour to open. Had a rustic quality that put me off. Disappointing overall though it softened with air.

This wine went from meh to quality in the span of 30 minutes. It has shed slight sparkle of youth but needs air to express it’s zesty nose and Riesling typicity on palate. It also gained fleshier zing and length. Might be worth a decant next time

I have been enjoying this wine for 6+ years and had the last one tonight. Makes me want to preach virtue of patience. No more cloying sweet tannins. This is now big, finely structured with extraction on a medium frame that perfectly suits it with food. Fruit is present in good balance. Loved this wine only wish I had more. Exceptional QPR. Show me 30$ Brunel love of this quality today? I doubt it

Still lovely freshness and, yes, fruit in this bottle at 10 years. I agree with other that there is no great rush to your cellar on this wine. 1-2 years of holding no problem. A fine buy

Very expressive on the nose with apple and tropical fruit notes. On edge of retirement age with hint of having turned the corner this wine nonetheless retains complexity on palate with real drinking pleasure. But drink up

This wine is simply outstanding. Could be the best Sancerre I've ever had, with the possible exception of a Gerald Boulay some years back. The nose is so enticing, offering typical grassy notes for the varietal but with green apples and honeysuckle (?). Great acidity and length en bouche. This is the full package. Not sure if it will improve but given how well it drinks now, hard to wait.

Cork pushed straight in. Thought this was a goner. But no sign of damage. Deep golden color likened to urine by guests. Not flattering. Nose was classic diesel with honeyed notes. Very nice! As appero the RS was not bad with an overall dry effect on palate. The 9.5% made this easy to drink. Really enjoyed on its 25th!

Popped and poured at cellar temp and drank in a group before this wine had a chance to open up. Mea Culpa Tendencies were all good and agree that this is a true food wine. Beef blood was pronounced, at my limit of comfort. Fruit muted with good minerality. greater care next time and expect rating to bump up a point or 2

This wine has fallen from lofty heights with passage of extra year. Faded glory with no real backbone left to support it and weak somewhat cloying tannic residual. Had the 2007 earlier this summer and found it to be still in tail end of its prime. 14 years is too much to ask of reserva

This was a slight disappointment after a decade of waiting and after reading other reviews. THe wine has an overall balance and consistency wtih good structure and length, but the impact of somewhat overly stewed ripe prunes on both the nose and palate was not entirely to my liking. From my few tastings of mature 2005 and 2006 CNP, I seem to prefer the more restrained 2006's.....

pleasant mineral aromatics with hints of exotic fruit. Very expansive on the back palate with long finish. High alcohol (13.5) makes itself felt in the heaviness of the wine, not altogether pleasing.

Consistent notes with last year. In amazing place as mature traditionally styled rioja but given fully resolved tanins and dwindling body, I'd drink these up. Just loved this wine and sad to see the last one go

Gave this only an hour's decant and it continued to open and further express itself as I continued to slurp it down. Classic CNP with finesse and style, lushness without being in any way overripe. Really enjoyed with pork and peach dish that Luke crafted. Rating could go up with more time.

Tasted next to the Domaine de la Garrigue of the same vintage, this wine did not show the class, lushness or intensity of the Vacqueyras. Fruit has faded and while the juice is still a pleasure, it lacks distinction and depth. Would not hold these any longer if you have any remaining

This wine is in a fine place. intense aromatics lead into a mouthful of grenache pleasure that is medium-full bodied with very balanced tannins. Should drink very well for another 1-2 years though I don't see further improvement. Enjoy remaining bottles soon
