Domaine de Chevalier Tasting with Adrien Bernard (Crystal Wines Valley Point): This had a similarly perfumed nose like the 2007, I had trouble deciding which one I liked better in that aspect. Felt it was a bit thin on the palate although rather pleasant and much more drinkable compared to the 2004 and 2007. Lacks the opulence of the vintage which is reflective of Adrien's comments that the wine produced is true to the domaine's style and certainly not Mr Parker's.

2/17/14, 6:48 PM - Hi Ibetian, yes I can understand why my note appears contradictory. So it would appear Mr Parker can also appreciate wines which are less opulent in style! I did dig up his 2012 tasting note where he suggests that "while not the most concentrated or flamboyant 2009, its intense aromas are already reasonably evolved and its lusciousness and balance are terrific." My own experience was that the bouquet was brilliant, but the palate was a bit of a letdown after that. Perhaps my sample was left too long in the glass?

I have some 2010s which I will try not to touch for a couple of years :)
