OK...I must be missing something here...I was looking forward to drinking this since it arrived in November 2010. Decanted for 3 hours. First impression was HOT HOT HOT....so much overpowering alc. 3 hours later not much had changed. Had many of the typical Cab characteristics - dark fruit, oak, coffee.....but this was NOT the $50 wine I was expecting based on the rave cellartracker reviews....Would take the Provenance Rutherford for 1/2 the price.

This is not pinot. Pruney, alcoholic, no varietal character. Hopefully they move from this style or I won't be a customer much longer.

12/21/10, 6:26 PM - Not to be a jerk as I too have not been impressed with '06's from a ton of producers, but with a waiting list 7000 plus deep, there is surely someone to take your place. I prefer the '05's and '07's to the '06's, and trying to drink man of our '06's down...
