Decanted one hour. Classic aged Bordeaux nose with leather and pencil lead but not much fruit left so it was a bit of a disappointment.

Paired perfectly with beef tenderloin after a 2 hour decant. I think it is just entering its drinking window.

2007 Fattoria Viticcio Chianti Classico Riserva Chianti Classico DOCG Sangiovese Blend, Sangiovese (view label images)
Matched up well with chicken parm, decanted for an hour, tannin well integrated but the fruit is fading, drink up.

Popped and poured. Very tart. Did settle a little after a while but not my favorite Gary Farrell from the '14 vintage.

Perfect. Full of flavor. The extended time on the lees really shows.

Tight, even after an hour in the decanter. May need to wait a bit longer on these. These were just purchased from Ojai a few weeks ago.

Fantastic, definitely towards the end of the curve and you should drink up as the fruit is fading but this bottle was well integrated with lots of secondary flavors present. This bottle was the last of 12 and I wish I had a couple more.

Tasted after work with some colleagues at the office. A couple of them described a light butter taste. I tasted green apple with some nice salinity. Would have been good with shellfish. Overall it was quite good and will hold my remaining bottles a bit longer.

Took a while to settle down in the decanter. Good plummy, jammy flavors.

Served with pan seared chicken breasts, sauteed mushrooms, Vidalia onions and steamed broccoli. Matched up fairly well, some heat upon opening but then settled down after about an hour in the decanter. The fruit was a bit lacking so it might have peaked.

Fruit has faded, acidity level quite high. Not the cocktail wine I was looking for. Might have been better with food.

Decanted for about an hour then drank with BBQ shrimp. It got better and better with each glass. May need a bit more time.

Lots of alcohol and heat, no fruit. Cork was fine so not sure what was up with this bottle. Too bad, my other Carlisle wines have been fantastic.

Reliable, weekday Zin. Good with food, good for sipping. Nothing earth shattering but for the price, it is a good value.

Drinking well now. Tannins are well integrated and the fruit is all there. Matched up perfectly with grilled beef tenderloin and a port cranberry reduction.

Decanted for about 30 mins and wow! Great juice. Really enjoyed it with some grilled chicken. I really thought it would be too young but it is drinking well right now.

Could have been an off bottle but the fruit was fading and like some others have said, cough syrup and maybe glycerin? Not sure. Not my style anymore.

Served at a charity wine dinner. Popped and poured. Great candy fruit nose, soft tannins, good raspberry and cherry flavors although they were a bit subdued. Probably needs a few months to settle as this was just released. Definitely a crowd pleaser at this event.

Decanted for about 45 minutes. Tons of sediment. Medium red color with some bricking at the edge. Drank with a rustic, meaty pizza. The wine was silky smooth and had a reasonably long finish. The flavors were mostly forest floor as the fruit is fading. Drink up.

Had a taste from the barrel at Bill Hill's warehouse in Napa and thought it was fantastic. The bottled version was every bit as good.
