This bottle was all tertiary and maybe a bit past it.

5/17/22, 8:24 PM - We have gone through a six pack of 2001 Fuligni over the last six to eight months. They have been beautiful except for one bottle that was a little off. In my experience, I am starting to think that some of the Riservas don’t show as well with age.

Nice Brunello - pretty classic at first but became a little modern over time. Nice tannins, robust flavor, but a little lean on the finish. Popped and poured; consumed half immediately and half 24 hours later.

The big 4-0 (Ristorante Morini): This was opened and decanted early and poured on the later side and still I think this wine is one of those monsters that just needs more years. It pours a dark almost purple color with zero perception that the wine has aged almost at all. Lots of darker fruits and spices and you can sort of get an oak grain to it but a bit more closed. With some time in the glass became a bit more expressive, but this is definitely a wine with a long window. Will continue to hold on ours.
