This is a very complex and balanced wine with flavors of blackberry, plum and dark cherry. The color is deep and dark with great viscosity. The tannin is firm and dusty with a crisp and bright acidity. It is drinking wonderfully now. But, with several more years in a cool cellar it should blossom even more. Mathew Cline has created a gem of a blend from the great old vines of Contra Costa County and the stellar Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon vines.

This is a great example of what can be done with California Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. A wonderfully rich and crisp wine with a drenching mouth feel. It has wonderful viscosity, a beautiful golden straw color, and a perfume of fresh apple and peach. a superbly made wine, for sure.

Still very fruit forward. Tannin dominated the mid palate. Acidity was good. Integration of flavors was lacking.

Nice mouth feel. Good acidity, slightly tart red cherry followed by supple and soft tannin. Drinking well now.

Very balanced and well integrated acid, fruit and tannin. Had it with barbecued duck and garlic sauteed bok choy. It paired well.
