Average Sarocka for what they produce. A bit on the spicy side and maybe needs some years, not sure. Still, great color and it tasted very good, just not great (like I'm used to).

Decant and let rest for about 45 min. Very nice and continued to open. Wife says "peppery", but this is, imo, typical napa cab. Not too hot, lots of legs and deep garnet color. Great drinking - enjoy now or hold a bit.

Wow... I just love this wine - maybe my favorite Bordeaux. Decanted for 3 hours prior to drinking, but had an early sip to check. Really fruit-forward on opening, but mellowed out nicely. Not hot at all, but super deep red/black coloring and mouthfeel was full of blackberry, cherry, slight tobacco and hints of spice. Amazing to drink now or hold for another 10-15.

BDay dinner with friends and I just HAD to open. Decanted for about an hour, then breathe in glasses for another half hour or so.
Amazing wine. Kept opening more and more. Very fruit forward with raspberries, blackberries, along with hints of cocoa and spice. Not “hot” at all and super drinkable right now. Drink now and/or hold for many years. This one will Last a long time!

Celebrating the sale of our house, decanted and drunk over dinner out. Tried to drink it slowly, to let it continue to breathe, because it was amazing out of the decant. Kept getting better and better. Wish I had more, but this was our only 2005.
Deep garnet, with lots of earthiness and lead pencil with blackberries. Very long on the tongue and not hot at all. Delicious “cult” Napa cab. Going to be good for holding another 5 years, but perfect now. Enjoy!

Revisited this one again (drank last one in 2014). Amazing and better than before. 2 hour decant and long finish with great flavor. Great fruit and still getting better. Hold or drink, you won’t be disappointed.

Even though they say you don’t have to after this many years, still performed the “shake”. Decanted for 1 hour (used a filter/decanter - lots of sediment in these “lefty’s”).
Really well defined and no longer overpowering with alcohol (was too much a couple of years ago).
Gets even better over time. Should be good for a number of years still. One to hang onto.

Amazing Pinot... ready to drink right now, but will probably only get better with holding. Decanted and drank within 1/2 hour - great nose, long on the tongue and really, really good. My favorite Pinot for sure, possibly my favorite wine right now. Get some and drink AND hold.

One of the best Cabs I've had in recent memory. This one is an amazing example of a budding, still quite undiscovered cult cabernet with lots of lasting notes of coffee and blackberry. We decanted and let breathe a bit, and the fruit got better and better with time. Wish I would have waited longer to open, but we really wanted to try it vs. the Scully MAX that they have as well (spectacular too!). Seek this winery out and get on their list. They don't make much, and it is sooo good.

Typical Shiraz from outstanding producer. Nothing even close for this price range. Get some!!

Great and fun to drink. Love the interesting change with the cold, sparkling red wine. Good change of pace, and great on a hot day with a picnic.

Part of a tasting night, decanted for 1 hour. Really, really nice drinking right now. Could hold for another dozen years easily. This new effort from Tim Mondavi is your typical cult Napa Cab. Cab of the night.

This is one to hold for a while! Decanted for an hour and a half. So dark and ruby, great legs. A truly great Malescot; drank well after decanting, and even better over the next few hours. Really, really opened up at the end - needs more time for sure. Going to be a huge wine in next 5-10 years. Great drinking now, with decanting, but hold for a while. I have 2 more and will revisit in a few years.

Had to open something nice for an impromptu dinner - this is always a good one.
Opened and did the "shake" and poured a couple of glasses - very hot on opening, even with the shake. Sharp, heavy and wound up tight - let it sit for about an hour and it really opened up.
This could use some more time, but it was drinking very well after a couple of hours - mellowed out a lot and drank very smoothly. Typical MD, fruit-forward - tannins still very active.
Might have had a higher mark, if not for how tight it was initially. Still, love Molly D - they do a fantastic job with all of their wines.

Amazing wine, and I really, really wanted to wait, but just couldn't. Special occasion called for special wine.
Decanted for 1 hour, then small pours in large glasses... so nice. Dark purple/ink color - exactly how you would expect a classic California Cab to look. Really jam filled, lots of raspberry and blackberry and very long-lasting on the tongue. Could have decanted longer and I'm guessing would have been even better and more complex hours later. Hold on to these if you have them, they are going to get even better!

Opened, decanted and let breathe for 2 hours... nice, inky color with hints of ruby (appropriate for the Tin Man).
Very smooth and drinkable - tannins a bit hot for the first glass or 2, but REALLY came into its own by about the 5th hour open. Love this wine now, but could use a couple of years. Wish I had more.

Really good Cabernet from first pour. Did the Mollydooker "shake" and opened right up. No decanting other than that. I can't say enough about the quality that these folks put into their wines. This is a GREAT "everyday" drinking Cab, and better than most in Napa. Medium tannins and hints of vanilla and spices - not too peppery. Great color and decent legs. Enjoy this one and buy more.

Mollydooker is one of my favorite wineries and it never disappoints. I thought the 1.5L would drink better than the 750ml ones, but I guess I prefer the smaller format. Both have significant sediment. More pepper and heat than typical Shiraz, but still with some patience, it REALLY opens up. Much better when decanted and a 2 hour wait. All said though, you can't beat the EXCELLENT taste and convenient screw cap. Enjoy these - great value.

Very drinkable now, but needs time to open up. Not very "fruit-forward", but that's not a bad thing. Hints of Blackberry and lead pencil on nose early, but developing amazingly. I decanted and drank over about a 4 hour period. Started to really open up at the end. I will be getting more of this for sure!
