Very ripe blackcurrant and liquorice nose with some manure. The structure has faded leaving an impression of sweetness. Drink up.

Very smooth and mature Bordeaux, plenty of blackberry fruit and still just enough structure to keep it interesting. I doubt this will improve from here.

Decanted for 4 hours. Utterly captivating nose like someone making jam in a glue factory, I think you could get high just sniffing this. Still young and tannic but a beautiful wine with a long finish. If the palate had been a little more linear it would have been 94+

Plenty of the promised minerality, but otherwise a bit disjointed. Nothing particularly bad, but nothing stands out to recommend it either.

I've noticed a lot of bottle variation with this wine, some are good, others are great. This was the best so far, although it's a year since I last tasted this. Plenty of cedar and graphite on the nose, but still with ample fruit and acidity.

Popped and poured in a restaurant so took a bit of time to get into it's stride, but once it was there it was delicious. Not as sharp and focused as the Dellchen, but more concentrated and with a longer finish. One of the best GGs I've tried.

Hard to believe that Sauvignon Blanc can be this good. Fantastic balance and intensity with a long rhubarb and custard finish. Another great example of how Austria makes some of the most underrated wines around.

Stewed fruit and vanilla sauce. Somewhat manufactured rather than crafted but the result is an easy drinking, tasty, uncomplicated wine which, at its price point, delivers more than expected.

Sweet fruit on the nose, the high alcohol is difficult to ignore. Lots of strawberry and plum jam but enough acid and tannin to balance things out. Pretty good value, though shows much better with food than without.

Fresh, crisp and fruity but with a bitterness on the finish that detracted slightly from what was otherwise a very nice wine

A real treasure of a wine. The nose is perfumed and delicate, cherry and red fruit with strong herbal aromas of dill and thyme. Vanilla, cherry and raspberry flavours come through, and are supported by strong acidity giving a fresh zingy taste and long finish. At the price sold this is astoundingly good value. Doubtlessly it will change and develop with time but there is absolutely no reason not to crack open a bottle now.

Not overly expressive on the nose, but full bodied, clean and powerful tropical fruit taste dominated by pear and quince. Good length and some bitterness on the aftertaste. Overall a great riesling, but better available from the Nahe at this price.

The first bottle of this wine I tried was heavily oxidised and undrinkable. My low expectations of the second were met, being heavy, unforgiving and tasting mostly of alcohol. After a day in the fridge the wine was transformed into something very drinkable. Still a little muted on the nose, without the perfume I was hoping for but kumquat and banana on the tongue with a long soft peppery finish.

Elegant tannins and acid backbone, juicy redcurrant and raspberry fruit. Drinking well for the age and price.

Far from the best example of this wine I've tasted. The fruit is on the wane. Probably past it's peak some time ago.

After 3 hours air this was singing. Big, complex and long with everything in balance. Worth stocking up on.

Big new world fruit bomb with everything dialled up to 11. This will never win any awards for subtlety but very enjoyable nevertheless.

I was disappointed with this wine. The lack of perfume and acidity threw it off balance, and it was flabby and hot. Maybe the grapes were picked too late or the vines are just too young but in any case I won't be seeking out another bottle.

This is good stuff. Grapefruit, peach and chalk come through, and everything is nicely integrated. It will be interesting to see how this develops

Sumptuous tropical fruit nose, full of ripe peach and even banana. Drinking superbly now but no need to hurry to drink up. Almost Austrian in style, great wine punching above it's price point

Honey and candied orange peel nose made me think of a botrytised auslese. Ripe stone fruit and complex on the palate , but short finish. A bit different than I expected, would try again.

still going strong, Passion fruit and grapefruit with good acidity. Great BBQ wine. Puts most European wines at twice the price to shame.

Some volatile acidity on opening that blows away in the glass, silky smooth wine full of raspberry and blackberry. Pronounced peppery notes. Lacks finish but good easy drinking wine and great value for money

Very back end loaded, still quite closed, citrus and pineapple notes with long finish, though overly hot with a slight bitter aftertaste. Not a pleasant combination.

Beautifully layered wine with citrus pear and peach, as well as mineral notes which were possibly due to the searing acidity dissolving my teeth. The rest of the case needs locking up for 5 years before being safe to let out on an unsuspecting public.

Delicate and poised, a veritable ballerina of a wine balanced beautifully between acid and tree fruit. The encore goes on and on and will only get better with age
