Had this in a lineup of a white Burg dinner/tasting. EVERYONE agreed definitely premox. Another Billaud-Simon les Clos was premox as well. Otherwise the other 10 wines showed great.

Very green and vegetal notes on both nose and palate that I couldn't get past to enjoy the wine much. Has some of the typical pinot characteristics but again couldn't beyond the flaws.

corked. Too bad because looking beyond the TCA I could tell it was a good wine.

very interesting nose. Earthy, leather, dried fruits. Old world syrah. Fully mature and may be a little past peak.

Bordeaux-like characteristics. Earthy, slight bell pepper. Fruit a little muted on palate. Interesting nose. Probably won't get any better so drink.

nothing special. Menthol, plummy.

Most likely past its prime. Not as much fruit as I remember. Really good nose but palate a little flat otherwise a better score. Very slight soy sauce on finish.

Could have been over the hill? Soy sauce, stewed fruit. Some sweet fruit left which kept the wine from having a lower score.

last bottle. Sangiacomo was always my favorite Sojourn pinot. This one still had tons of fruit. Very soft on the palate. lucious attack and mid palate. long finish. Was afraid it would be over the hill but still lovely. Not as elegant as I remembered because it was very vibrant.

Started tasting right out of cellar. Interesting nose. Earthy but some fruit coming out. However, on palate not much fruit. Earthy. Old world style. Slight tart fruit. Decent balance with the fruit, acid and tannins. Some spice.

Due to the fruit profile drink over the next 1-2 years.

Past its prime. Muted fruit. Slightly thin. But balance is making it "elegant"

Very, very rich napa cab. I think it would have been better a couple of years earlier. The nose indicated a soy sauce type of nose when ripe wines start to age. However, at this point while noticeable the fruit was still vibrant enough to be enjoyable.

A little disappointed. May be past its prime. Two dimensional. Cough syrup on nose and palate. Weird finish. However, some enjoyment in drinking thus decent score.

Decent cab but nothing special. Nose is a little muted. Not much complexity. Finish okay. Not sure it will get better with age.

90+ Had this with Davis with steaks. Slightly dusty. Muted fruits. Tasted much older than a 2010. The 2001 Cavolotto Barolo we had with it side by side tasted much younger.

Drink remaining bottle soon.

94+ Had this with Davis with steaks. Outstanding. Rich enough and balanced enough to last many more years. Noticeable tannins but not overpowering.
