Very expressive wine. Flowers, lush fruits and some spices. Almost sensual. I guess its the vintage and also the characteristics of the terroir from V. Romanee. For me this wine was a bit too much, not to say a pinot from california or oregon but there are some minute similarities. I recommend it if you are planning to have a sexy night with class haha

The label is very deceptive. You might expect a traditional style by looking at the bottel but there is artistic liquid hidden inside. If I were to blindtaste, I would have guessed Gerard Schueller. There are typical moss or watery aromas from Schueller. This is a so-called natural wine disguised in a classical wine. More forests and spices than fruits. Soft and silky attack. but it gets wilder as the time passes by. dont wait too long once opened. What a surprise!

Opened 8 hours prior to the tasting. Very silky and smooth. There is a very little residual sugar which adds an elegant sweetness to the wine. It can be enjoyed now.

strong acidity at first but gets much milder over time. I would recommand to wait 1~2 hours after opening. however i wouldnt decant this wine since it has reached a good maturity. Relatively light, its a good time to drink now. great aroma with hints of dried raisin, vanille, coffee, espresso and earth. long finish and tannins are still present, so this wine can last another 3~4 years I guess. This wine deserves this much point for $50.

Still young but very lush. Huge and well integrated tannin. a little spicy character. Nose: Chocolate, core of dark fruits, espresso, orange peel, vanilla. it needs more than 2 hours to open up. long finish. it is also very heavy, you need time to drink up this bottle. good one.

This wine is really underrated. for $15 a bottle this is a incredibly good wine. but for people who prefer complexity and bourgogne style chardonnay, i guess this wine is too "bright". lots of vanilla, coconut, honey

dusty, cigarette, lead, metal well integrated oak and berries. very meaty full bodied wine and goes well with fatty meal. the pauillac character is very present. paid $60 for a bottle so I gave this point. expected a bit more..

honestly i expected more from this wine. The producer of this wine says he was inspired by cheval blanc and other right bordeaux wine but obviously not a wine of that class. berries, skin of orange, lead on the nose but in total the aroma remains weak and the taste relatively flat. not much of complexity. it started to open up about an hour later but didnt excite me. If i were to do a blind tasting i would have thought this wine was a good italian wine around $30-50 but definitely not $100.

boring, flat, not worth $20 at all.

Week aroma, flat taste. simply unattractive. its around $50 but totally not worth it. Theres no depth and complexity on palate, tastes like some $15 table wine. I was disappointed esp. because the explanation on the bottle said that the producer of this wine fell in love with wines from bordeaux.

Yes as everyone says, very rich taste. roasted nuts and honey on the nose.
however in my opinion it lacks acidity. it gets a bit boring with time since it lacks the complexity.. maybe i expected too much since it was around $60 here in tokyo...

bright color. lots of fresh berries on the nose. it need 1 to 2 hours to open up. at first quite sour and very tannic. I had a very flat impression. however it gains depth over the time. lots of fruits and juiciness on the palate. bought it for ¥3,300(23EURO) which was too expensive for this kind of wine.

Weak aroma, dark ruby, almost bloody. Forest floor, Cigarette, Leather and lots of mineral. Way too early to drink this wine. After all, this has a great potencial. Regretted opening now.

Although I had the impression that it had passed its peak, it was a well developed wine. Mild bordeaux taste with liveliness that is typical of italian wine. Great wine.

Forest floor, berries, cedar, bitter chocolate and bit of leather. Considering the vintage its still too early to drink. Very present. After all, it was a nice bordeaux wine.
