From a small family owned Vineyard, this wine comes from vines planted in 1970 on a site overlooking the central Yarra Valley. Very soft and approachable, cool berries on the palate, lovely midweek splash:)

At 10 years, I would suggest this is drinking at its peak. Still retains some freshness and coolness, everything is mellowed and integrated. Definately the best one I could remember.

Terrific Riesling. Even at 15 years old, still zesty and fresh. Intensity building but not at its full potential yet. Great acid backboard to deliver this into the next few years.

Overall ok if not for the short to medium finish. Mouthfeel was velvety and luscious but lacked tannin structure.

Simply put, the best Champagne I've had. Power, elegance, sexiness. Disgorged 20th May 2003. It even had bubbles!

Sunday night wind down. Sweet berry and floral aromatics, very good meaty weighty Pinot. A complex palate, good line of acidity, well and truly still very much alive and probably peaking. More Burgundian style than a Yarra Pinot. ABV14%.

This is surprisingly a good Shiraz given I'm a bit over Barossan Shiraz. Great nose, vibrant, some excitement on the palate. Great drop!

Never heard of this winery before but this is one hell of a Cab Sauv. At a very nice drinking age, fruit still shinning through of cassis and plums. A leathery and earthy nose. Great balance of acidity and tannins. Smooth and long finish. Sometimes, the best may not be the most expensive bottle. Shame it is my last bottle.

Decanted for 8 hours and what a performer! Drank side by side with a '99 MR Cab Sauv and this showed how good a young wine can be differently exciting. I think this would cellar for 10-15 years conservatively.

Surprisingly fresh for an aged wine. Great floral nose, so much complexity on the palate, citrus, honey, toasty, quince, and the length is amazing long.

This was a gamble bought with the heart on auction. 2 bottle purchase and this was the first. Drinking absolutely sensational. Didn't think a Coonawarra Cab Sauv could survive this long. Drank side by side with a '78 Leoville Barton and what an interesting session it was. Both great yet different.

Stood head and shoulders in a blind taste with some Burgs. A totally different style to the French and the nose was a real crowd pleaser. The most beautiful floral aromatic nose.

All the goodness of Coonawarra coming together in a medium bodied perfectly balanced drop. Cassis, cedar, cigar box, earthy, slightly leafy and herbaceous, eucalypt. Richness in a glass with a smooth and oh so long finish. Absolute bargain at $40.

Not a typical Barossa fruit bomb. Fruit playing second fiddle here with some lovely savoury notes. Not bad considering a difficult vintage.

What a stunning wine. Beautifully balanced, complex, good hit of acidity to give it some freshness, followed by a smooth long finish. Voyager has done brilliantly on this one.

Contrary to the other reviews, I thought this was a pleasure to drink. An approachable and fruity drop! However, probably doesn't have the structure to go long. I think it is only a 10 year proposition.

Bright clear ruby colour, nose was of forest floor, dried fruit and leather. Flavour was complex, fading fruit, earthy, plenty of depth. Long finish. I think past it's best but on a gentle decline.

Wow! For $12.90, sure as hell was good value. It's very approachable with primary fruit now but has the structure to go 10 years at least.
