This wine is drinking beautifully now. Full bodied with lots of character and a wonderful finish. Velvety smooth and drinking like a $300.00 bottle.

I'm having a difficult time rating this wine......Perhaps, as difficult a time as planning a food match with it. This wine is somewhat of an enigma.
Initially, it came across as a full, ripe, yet an unusual wine. At one point through the evening, while still somewhat chilled, it actually tasted delicious. However, as it warmed up....it lost it's charm.
This is a big....no...actually a HUGE wine. This wine needs to be paired with something equitably as huge.
We were drinking the wine along with several cheeses. One was a Borgonzola. The wine was outstanding with this cheese. As well, I might pair it with a smoked meat of some type. Possibly smoked tenderloin of elk or venison. These are both large in character, yet would work in concert with the acidity and strength of this Chenin Blanc.

Enjoyed with appetizers and cheeses New Year's Eve 2012. This Zin continues to evolve and surprise. Still drinking beautifully with no sign of letting up. Still a 92 in my book.

This wine was delicious. Big bold California chard. Paired with "braised rabbit", this wine was outstanding. Great nose and a lot going on with the wine. Thoroughly enjoyed by a dinner party of 6.

Enjoyable wine. Well worth the money. Great for just quaffing or paired with anything from pizza to steak. Anytime type wine.

This wine has evolved from it's start as a huge shiraz to being almost like an amarone. Delicious wine....I like where it's at and look forward to seeing where it's going.

Lovely old world wine. Well integrated tannins translated into a silky smooth, if somewhat light bodied syrah.

Fruity, fresh tasting wine. Strong on the blackberry flavour, but quite enjoyable now. Needs more time to mature and settle out to achieve what it's capable of.

Great wine! Drinking particularly well. Wonderful flavours and nice finish. We blind tasted four syrahs and this was unaimously the WOTN.

Nice nose but the body of the wine didn't quite follow. The wine was good, not great. I felt it actually fell somewhat flat when in comparison to the nose. Overall however, a pleasant wine.

Not much of a nose, tannic yet thin. Not worth the money at this point. I don't know whether more time will help, but I hope so...........I have 5 left.

Decanted for 4 hours. Beautiful wine. Velvet on the palate with a wonderful nose. We had it paired with peppered filet mignon. WOTN.

Elegant wine. Enjoyed by 4 people. We were hard pressed to justify the rating it received by one reviewer and had no problem with the other reviewer's number.
Well integrated tannins. The flavour exploded when paired with a steak! Looking forward to seeing how this wine evolves over time, as we drink the rest of the case.

This is a very different Zin. Far more complex than I was originally looking for. This wine needs decanting and time to open up. Outstanding with food. There's a lot going on here and I wouldn't be surprised to see it last several more years.
