Had been in 55 degree storage for about a year after purchasing at WHWC. Sat it on the kitchen counter at 70 -75 degrees for 2 days before opening. Twisted the screwcap and it made a loud "pop" sound! Murky brown/red. Smells muddy, stinky at first and shows strawberry fruit later. Tastes sweetish and unclean. The next day it tasted better, but nose was still muddy. What the heck is going on???

    4/3/14, 12:54 PM - I've noticed a bit of bottle fermentation on some of the other Pyramid Valley wines. Maybe they didn't sulfite?
