Stored in cold cellar since release. Good colour - dark. Restrained Pinot bouquet. Still not ready. Needs lots of aeration. Initially sweet but then dissolves into a long mouth filling aftertaste that fades slowly away. Wonderful finesse. Complex minerality. A wine to drink with closed eyes! Already truly great. Should last 50 years.

Subdued bouquet dark fruits. Deep red colour. Full bodied, intense, powerful, long, still tannic, seems very young. Some minerality and complexity. Many years of life ahead. From limited knowledge hard to judge
development much will depend on the tannins. Impressive in its own way but easy to see why opinions differ.

Stored in cold cellar since release. The best bottle by far. Intense, powerful,
real depth and grip with time in hand. Impressive. Classic but needs plenty of air. A surprise! And I thought it would be in decline!!

Stored in a cold cellar since release. Beginning to develop greater complexity. Wait of seven years was worthwhile! The colour is verging on deep gold but not quite there. Tones of restrained barley sugar, slightly burnt orange and botrytis. Still improving. Many decades of life remaining.

Stored in a cold cellar since release. Fill a fraction below neck. Cork came out whole - soaked within 10 millimetres of top then white. Entrancing bouquet. Deep colour, smooth, pure, silk, mouth filling with an aftertaste which lasts minutes. Curiously red fruits seem to predominate. Ten years plus in a cold cellar. No hint of mould or fungus. Will try again in five years.
Truly great claret.

Deep colour still red. Dense, power, medium to full bodied. Complex with excellent length. Mouth filling. Just about ready. Seems to have decades in hand. There is an arguable case about over extraction and St Emilion was a lighter style years ago though climate change has played its part.

Difficult to give tasting note. This was fruity, fresh, well balanced. Quite delicate with nice complexity.
From the cork disgorged spring 2020. Though sold ready to drink they improve with bottle age. As a rule of thumb aim to keep at least a couple of years after purchase.

Powerful bouquet leapt from bottle. Huge wine of extract and power. Alcohol and fruit dominate tannins. Great in an extreme style similar to a supercharged Barossa shiraz but no worse for that. Not for the faint hearted but authentic of its type.

Stored in a cold cellar since release. Golden colour. Lovely bouquet. To begin with seemed light and not that sweet. Given plenty of air developed deep rich barley sugar flavour with depth and persistence. A little odd really.
Not that complex but a classic in the the "barley sugar" style which is a matter of personal preference. Seems to have many years in hand.

Curious to see how New Zealand was developing following a visit some years ago. Deep colour and expressive pinot bouquet. Really too young - needs a few years. Good depth and length. The taste seemed to be a touch rustic which is a not particularly helpful description. Planted from 2003 the vines are still young. Compared to some Pinot Noir great value at $14.
