Subtle fruit on the nose, dark plum. Solid acidity, but needed to breathe for a good while. Somewhat flat on the middle palate, but a long smooth finish with hints of tobacco and leather. Pretty good for the price!

Shows promise! Not very concentrated, with a Purply garnet color. Straight out of the bottle, Very grippy tannins on the front of the palate, but not an overly harsh finish. After decanting for two hours, the nose is under-ripe cherry while peppery and herbaceous on the palate; mouth feel is silky! Not a lot of tobacco and leather that is typical with Brunello, but that should come with age. I knew it was probably too soon to drink, but wanted to see how it is progressing. Will try again in a few years.

I am not much of a fan of Zinfandels and this bottle confirms why. Not much fruit on the nose and crazy tannic on the middle palette, with a smoky ashtray finish.

Medium body and high in alcohol. Low acidity. Not much on the nose, but a pleasant, stewed plum on the front and middle palate. Not much on the finish. Good table wine.

Sour at first, which went away an hour after opening. Overly tannic and spicy.

Significant body for a Morgon. Fruity and bright. Paired well with our savory chicken and strawberries and cream dessert.

Muted nose on this Bourgogne beauty, but a remarkable smoothness on the palate. Berry fruit, raspberry. Little flat in the middle, but the acidity helps it along to a long finish. Nice!

Does seem a bit thin for a BV Shiraz, but quite drinkable. Fairly soft tannins and pretty well balanced.

Deep red color with a nose of plum and mulberry. Medium+ body with an opulent mouth feel. Acidity is medium and the balance across the palate is phenomenal. Chocolate and white pepper round out a long finish. Beautiful Tassie Shiraz. Tasted in northern Tasmania and picked up a whole case!

Never tried anything like it. Sweet yet remarkably drinkable. Picked up at a tasting and paired it with spicy Indian food. Excellent QPR and a unique taste.

The acidity is very prevalent, however it would stand up well to various foods and should be served with such. That said, constrained fruit and light body make it a nice example of burgundy for under 15 dollars. Serve chilled and with a savory dish.

Peaches and cream, drizzled with honey. Need I say more. The finish is divine on this Sauternes.

Floral nose and a decent mouth feel. A bit flat in the middle, but very smooth as is typical with a CdR. Would be an awesome compliment with Lamb.

Very faint nose, semi sour fruit on the palate. Dry. The balance is good with a very earthy finish.

Well integrated with soft tannins right out of the bottle. Pleasant red fruit. Drink now or let it sit for a couple of years and see what happens.

Fruity nose, with bright berries. A little bitter on the finish. Not bad for 14 dollars, but would be on the radar more if it were 9 or 10.

High acidity is lovely. Grapefruit notes on the front with a slight bitterness on it's extended finish. Delightful riesling and a steal at 15 a pop.

Fruit-forward nose with a beautiful purplish-red color. Slightly tannic, but opened up quickly. Dark, plum fruit. Not much linger on the finish. Does not have the chocolatey characteristic that is typical of an MV Shiraz.

Solid bourdeaux blend from CDA cellars. Great mouth feel and well integrated.

Stewed fruit nose. Incredibly sweet. Not much character.

Whoa tannins! Decant for a good 45 mins. Once opened up, shows some intense spice, essence of tabacco and plums. Balance is a little off, but a decent Rioja nonetheless.

Impressively bright Rioja; plum and charcoal. Smooth feel in the middle palate. Did not fall flat like other Riojas. Oakiness gives it good character but not overly present in the finish. I will stock up the first chance I get.

Very rich mouth-feel with good balance and acidity. A veritable bouquet of citrus on the front, strong fruit and a long finish. Beautiful straw color to this complex sparkling wine.

Always love this basic champagne. Fairly dry for a Brut. Yeasty with subtle fruit.
