Premox strikes again. I had high hopes given the reviews. Nope. Darker than it should be. Bruised apples and sherry on the nose. Taste confirmed the nose, the wine was flawed. Cellared properly from release. I've stopped buying MOST White Burgundy. I've gambled too many times and lost.

The 2008 Louis Michel Vaudesir opened in place of this was excellent. However, I've had premox 2008s from this producer as well.

TCA. I hate it when you open a bottle after carefully storing it for 17 years to find it flawed by TCA. So disappointing.

Pop and poured this wine and initially it had mature notes of tea and forest floor. After airing out for an hour the wine really started to shine. Some red fruit flavours and a plum note. There was sweet tannin and balanced acidity. It had a medium plus finish. Not the most complex wine but very good and very alive for a14 year old PC.

This is the last bottle of three and is on its decline. While the 2005 vintage is somewhat hot for Chablis, this wine still displays the typical Chablis flavours without being overblown or tropical. This wine has peaked though and was better last year. It's showing its age. Still nice and drinkable.

P'oxed and barely drinkable. Two bottles out of 3 so far. Buyer beware. Let's hope the Folatieres fairs better.

Fine wine reflecting the 1995 vintage. Ready and on the decline. Great nose but the palate did not live up to the nose. Nicely balanced, good length, and some tannins remain but are dry. A very nice wine short of excellent. Drink soon.

Well, after a pmox'ed bottle I decided to open my last bottle. Why wast room in the cellar on bad bottles? To my surprise, this bottle is good! In fact, very good! Perhaps the acidity sticks out a bit too much but nice lemony flavours as opposed to butterscotch..Too bad I have lost all confidence in Fevre...

Apple juice and butterscotch...I cellared these from release @55F. Earlier bottles were very good...I guess I need to open my last bottle. I'm never buying Fevre again... Money wasted.

Golden yellow color. Good chablis character but sherry like flavors emerging on finish. Drink this soon if you have it! It looks like the dreaded POx afflicts this producer. I wish Medows would have told me this befor I wasted money on this producer (my other 1er cru chablis from this producer are headed in this direction this advanced colors and sherry like flavors).

I did not enjoy this bottle. It's a shame, I purchased 2, 15 years ago, consuming one on purchase that showed great potential but had an abundance of tannin. Today, after pristine cellar conditions, we find a shell of a wine with little fruit, chalky tannins, and vegetal aromas. I let this rest overnight to see if it would open up but it fell apart. Perhaps this was a flawed bottle but I think this is representative of the wine. The cork was sound, and the fill still high. Drink them if you have them, they're not going to get better. I'm glad I only bought 2.

I really liked this. Good balance of acidity and fruit with the acid just sticking out a bit. Very good mushroom, cherry, tobacco, and vanilla flavors. I have one more and I'll let it rest for 1-2 years.

Great nose but the palate is still closed and not showing too much. Hollow in the mid-plate and a medium length finish that is a bit bitter. Secondary flavors and not much fruit. Good wine but I expected more. I hope this is closed and improves with time in the bottle.

Opened this because of premox concerns...well, no concern here! This is excellent Chablis! It took over an hour to open up but when it did it, Wow! Balanced fruit and acidity. Iodine and seashell. Lemony fruit. Excellent midplate and medium plus finish. Everything I want in a Chablis perhaps just turned down a couple of notches from being a classic. Hold or drink. 91+

First Day - Popped and poured from cellar. The wine was too cold. My initial tasting was that the wine was thin and tasted of alcohol, not a very good start. Second Day - Better. Red fruits, smooth acidity, more body, better alcohol integration. Some Volnay finesse but not much Champans terroir. This is my second 2004 Cote de Beaun and, while there is not an abundance of fruit, I did not detect the controversial 2004 greenies here. This wine does need more time but suspect that it won't make old bones. I will try another bottle in two years. 87+

Nearing its peak. Medium to full bodied and medium acidity. Some fruit still present mostly on the darkish side. Secondary characteristics of tobacco and tea like flavors are also present. The wine is in fine balance but the mid-plate could be a bit fuller. Still, an excellent wine and good value when purchased 6 years ago. Drink within the next 3-5 years.

I can understand the previous notes of the wine smelling of black olives and the wine smelling chemically as this wine has a definite strong nose to it. At first I thought I liked it but as the night wore on it became a detracting feature of the wine as it overpowers all other flavors. I can't really say it's a black olive smell but it is similar. The wine is medium bodied with significant acidity and is definitely a food wine. The finish is medium length but full of the flavor describe previously. I'm glad this is my last bottle.

I had high hopes for this. The acidity is good and the the structure is noticeable with the tannins still a bit rough. This has not come out of its shell and the fruit seemed a bit mute. It could be very good to excellent in a couple of years if the fruit remerges. Alas, it was my only bottle. 87+

Big dissapointment. Seemed thin, smelled of cabbage, with no finish or depth.I opened this because of Pmox suspisions especially with 2002 white burgs but thisd bottle seemed dead not oxidized. I suspect this bottle was light struck as remember I purchased this from the display at the SAQ. I will not do that again...

Drinking well. Good balance of fruit and acidity. Secondary flavors are emerging. I enjoyed the earthy flavors combined with red fruit undertones. Good length. Seems to be at peak but should hold for 2-3 years, not a long term keeper. A fine burgundy and an excellent effort for the 2000 vintage.

Popped and poured. Very good structure. Great nose with some spices. Dark berries, some spice, and smooth tannis. The finish could have been longer. The wine opened up an became smoother over the 1 hour it was consumed. Decant the wine next time.

Fine mousse, great balance of acidity and fruit, and a beautiful salmon pink color. I was really impressed by this champagne. It saturates the palate with compelling red berry and bread like flavors. Not overly complex yet but it appears to have the stuffing to evolve. Very good mid-plate density and a long, long finish. This is a WOW wine...I'm on the search for more!

Decanted 30 mins. I enjoyed this wine. While it is ready to drink the components are there to let this age another 2-3 years if not more. Smooth, balanced, medium bodied, with a long finish. I like the secondary flavors that this bottle had developed. There is still some brambly zin character but this is no young alcoholic zin.

Popped and poured. Flat flavors, dull, and non-descript at first so I waited to see if this opened up. Butterscotch and sherry flavors arrived...oxidized.

I really enjoyed this wine. Smooth integrated tannins and medium bodied with good balance and a nice mouth feel. A bit more fruit than acidity but that's to be expected from a Cali pinot. Smokey cherry and red fruits on the palate with just a little pinot funk. Great length. I've had this in the cellar for about a year and it has really come together in that time. I think it can hold another 2-3 more..I need to find some more. At first I thought I opened a Keefer Ranch but the smokiness made me go back and check the bottle. Sangiacomo fruit is really one of my favorite Californian vineyards as it is quite distinctive.

I was hoping that this was open but it was shutdown. It is hard to judge this wine as it appears to be in deep slumber. The nose is great but it is a bit thin on the palate and the finish has a metallic note I often get from red Burgs that have closed down. Still, I think there is some hope for this wine as it shows good structure and balance. Wait 5 years to try again. My note reflects the wine's present showing.

Good young Beaun. Juicy fruit and vibrant acidity. Sappy red berries with some wood peaking out. Medium bodied with shortish finish. Opened up a bit with some air but needs time. All the components are here to make this excellent in 10 years time.

Good Champagne - Light to medium bodied, high acidity which is a bit out of balance with the lemony fruit, full mousse. I enjoyed this wine but as one note indicated, it is more of a aperitif than a food wine. Expected more from a BdB but good nonetheless.

Full and rich and dry are appropriate descriptors for this wine. Good mid plate density and a good finish that I hope improves with age. I got the distinct notes of apples and bread while consuming this. I like this style of champagne as it goes well with food. It may not be for everyone but I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this wine. It seems to have come together over the years and put on some weight from my last tasting of it 5 years ago. Smooth integrated tannins, balanced acidity, secondary aromas and flavors but some friut still remained. Seems to be in a prime drinking window. I had it with a cassoulet of duck, lamb, and pork. Loved the combination.

Excellent - Popped and poured. Tasted young and vibrant. Well balanced acidity, fruit, and NSG earthiness. Loved the nose of this wine as it was complex hinting at what was to be expected on the palate..Was open for business for the get go but seemed to shut down after a couple of hours open. I will try another in 5 years time.
