Off the list at Montarra. They were not shy about using oak in this wine. Hints of tropical fruit with a touch of floral. First time with this bottling. Mrs. TLV liked it a lot more than I did.

My wife wanted a second bottle last night. She enjoyed this immensely last week, so we opened another bottle. Despite two in one week, there is no hurry here.

Notes of violet and dark fruits. Well balanced - I did not detect any heat or abundance of alcohol. I'll give my remaining bottle another three years minimum.

I've barely any experience in tasting/rating young white Burgundy, so I'll leave it to the experts. We wanted to try it to see if we should buy more. But for the wife and I, this was just a meh.

Consistent with prior note, but the palate has caught up to the nose. A beautiful Zin.

Last bottle. Seems the fruit was just a touch less than last bottle, with a bit more dusty tannins. Drink up.

Pop and pour with some grilled NY Strips. This was a lovely Zin with notes of spice, bramble and dark fruits. I will hold my remaining bottle for two to three years, but in a good place right now if you have multiples. 92+

4th Saturday Group dinner bottle. Allred brought this along - we had just consumed a Legacy Label bottling the week prior. No discernible difference to my palate. Ginger and cashew notes. Still very young, but drinking well already.

4th Saturday Group dinner bottle (non blind). I'm a big fan of these old Laurel Glen bottles. Red fruits with some floral and other tertiary notes. Drinking well.

4th Saturday Group. It's been almost 5 years since I last had this. Holding well. Tasted non-blind tonight. I did not get the same Bordeaux profile as the last bottle, but that may be due to knowing what it was. A lovely bottle.

Off the list at 1776. Very tight, but very fruit forward on this night. I didn't detect any of the white pepper like the previous bottle, but I did get the dark fruits and some oak. I still think this will be nice in 5 years.

Pop and pour, paired with a grilled rib-eye. Still dark in the glass and showing no visible age. More dark fruits than red tonight, but excellent balance. Always amazing qpr.

Opened at Anvil. Decanted for about 90 minutes prior to dinner. Similar to my prior bottle, but I felt the tannins were more obtrusive than in the past. Drink with a decant or hold.

Opened at Anvil. Consistent with prior bottle. I don’t get all the complaints with the oak - though I agree there is a presence, I feel it is a deft touch and adds to the wine. No hurry here.

This bottle was more in line with my earlier bottles. The sweetness is there, but not in a cloying manner. Honey and apricot front and center.

Opened at Anvil. I know there is some debate about this wine, but this bottle fell firmly in the awesome camp. Notes of red apple, orange zest and some almond. Nice minerality and depth. Both bottles have been great so far.

This bottle paled in comparison to a RM Thieriot opened prior. Still a beautiful bottle showing citrus and lemon oil, but suffered by following what was a stunning bottle on this night.

The old axiom that there are no great wines, only great bottles was on display here. Always my favorite RM Chard, this was shining last night. Consistent with prior notes, but the showcased a creamy mouthfeel that I can't properly describe - almost like a liquid butter, but not in that typical California buttery popcorn way. Just an amazing showing.

Very light color in the glass. Initial nose of bubble gum and cranberry, but the bubble gum eventually blew off. Thin, but picked up weight over the course of the evening. First LF Pinot, but I think I’ll stick to their Chards.

Pop and pour. Beautiful yellow gold in the glass. Nose of citrus with just a hint of floral. Picks up a bit of pear and red apple on the palate. I thought this was initially better upon opening and seemed to shut down after an hour or so. Seems a decent value in my opinion.

Tasted blind. Light color and fairly obvious Sonoma Pinot nose of light and dark red fruits. This was opened but not decanted prior to the tasting. Day two with the remnants of the bottle again showed better mouthfeel and more pronounced fruit.

Another warm up white prior to tasting. Very floral nose as one would expect, but also showed a touch of petrol and citrus, leading to a few guesses of Riesling. As with the other whites, this showed better in my opinion on day two when served warmer than cellar temp.

This was a blind warm-up white (double blind to everyone else at the tasting). Consistently one of my favorite whites from Bedrock with a beautiful nose of florals and citrus. Remains of the bottle finished on day two and tasted at closer to room temperature - always seems to be my preference. Great value here.

Opened but not decanted about three hours prior to tasting. This showed more upon opening than later in the tasting. The remains of the bottle were recorked and tasted again the next day. What a difference with some of the typical orange zest, tea and spiciness, along with red fruits on both the palate and nose. Not sure why this shut down after opening. Score reflects day one and day two average.
