Very light color in the glass. Initial nose of bubble gum and cranberry, but the bubble gum eventually blew off. Thin, but picked up weight over the course of the evening. First LF Pinot, but I think I’ll stick to their Chards.

Notes of ginger and red apples, with some citrus showing up late to the party.

Pop and pour. Beautiful yellow gold in the glass. Nose of citrus with just a hint of floral. Picks up a bit of pear and red apple on the palate. I thought this was initially better upon opening and seemed to shut down after an hour or so. Seems a decent value in my opinion.

Off the list at S&S. Decent red fruits, but not the usual green notes, cedar or other tertiary notes I would expect from Bordeaux. General impression only.

This was decanted for about an hour prior to dinner. Inky dark in color and not showing any age in appearance. Nose was fruit forward with dark fruits and cocoa, with soft tannins.

Pop and pour. Red berries and a bit of yeast. This was in a good place last night and actually stood up to the steak in the surf and turf dinner.

Pop and pour with a dessert cheese course. This was a bounce back bottle after the last one fell a little flat. Apricot and lemon oil with nice acidity and balance. Wish I had more.

Opened and decanted for about 90 minutes prior to dinner. Inky dark in the glass and clearly young in appearance. Surprisingly fruit forward with dark fruits and some vanilla. Long finish.

Added to the tasting to even out the flights. Pop and pour, but quite lovely with notes of cherry and dark fruits, with a nice hint of earthiness. Sadly, my last bottle.

Warmup white prior to main tasting. This had some nice minerality and floral notes, but something on the palate I couldn't identify came across heavy handed and detracted a bit for me.

Another warmup white. Notes of rainwater and mild hint of citrus. Not much to write home about, but did show better on day two.

Tasted blind. Light color and fairly obvious Sonoma Pinot nose of light and dark red fruits. This was opened but not decanted prior to the tasting. Day two with the remnants of the bottle again showed better mouthfeel and more pronounced fruit.

Another warm up white prior to tasting. Very floral nose as one would expect, but also showed a touch of petrol and citrus, leading to a few guesses of Riesling. As with the other whites, this showed better in my opinion on day two when served warmer than cellar temp.

This was a blind warm-up white (double blind to everyone else at the tasting). Consistently one of my favorite whites from Bedrock with a beautiful nose of florals and citrus. Remains of the bottle finished on day two and tasted at closer to room temperature - always seems to be my preference. Great value here.

Opened but not decanted about three hours prior to tasting. This showed more upon opening than later in the tasting. The remains of the bottle were recorked and tasted again the next day. What a difference with some of the typical orange zest, tea and spiciness, along with red fruits on both the palate and nose. Not sure why this shut down after opening. Score reflects day one and day two average.

Either too young, not a long enough decant or both. Red and dark fruits, with hints of lavender. Lengthy finish and nice balance, but something seems missing. Never did put my finger on it though. Still excellent, just always expect more out of MB.

Black fruits and a touch of cassis on the palate. Handles the alcohol nicely and shows excellent balance. I didn't order the last offering merely because of space, but now I wish I would have.

Opened and decanted six hours prior to dinner. Upon opening, this was fine, but did not show any Bordeaux hints. After six hours, there were some hints of cedar, graphite and dark fruit. Medium finish, but there is no hurry here. One bottle left and I will let is sleep.

Opened and decanted for several hours prior to dinner of red wine braised pork chops. Been almost six years since I opened my first bottle. What I learned was that I wasted the first bottle by opening it that young. This was an amazing bottle of wine. Nose of strawberry and cherry with some floral as well. Palate is similar with a long finish. Mouthfeel is liquid velvet. I will sit on my vertical and let the rest of the vintages age quietly.

Double decanted about three hours before dinner. Nose of cedar and lavender, with a touch of iodine near the end. Finish is a bit shorter than expected, but that’s a bit of nitpicking.

Opened by Allred. This wine changed repeatedly during the night. At first it was lemon citrus. After some time, it took on almost an acetone nose, but this blew off after just a few minutes and showed some honey with the citrus. The last sips after it warmed were the best. An amazing journey with an amazing bottle.

Opened by Allred at Eagle Brook. I thought the color was closer to red than purple that others have mentioned, with some bricking on the edges. If tasting blind, I would have been leaning Bordeaux as I got cedar and some green notes, with addition of some dark fruit. Tannins are still front and center, but no obtrusively so.
