Opened by Allred at Vino Me's with dinner. Second time I've had this. While I can appreciate what they are doing with this bottling, I find myself always caught up in the oxidative notes of the older vintages that are part of the blend.

Opened with Raclette dinner at Vino Me's home. Consistent notes as prior bottles. I thought this paired beautifully with dinner with red fruits and tea notes. Very soft and feminine.

Opened at dinner at Anvil - excellent pairing with the Sea Bass. Initially served too cold and was not showing much. Allowed to warm a bit, this opened up beautifully with some tropical notes. Excellent qpr here.

Wow, what a difference two plus years made. This was opened, but not decanted about an hour before served. Loads of dark fruit and raspberry on the nose, but the nose has always been pretty good on prior bottles. The difference was the palate, which showed red and dark fruits with soft tannins and a lovely mouthfeel. I couldn't stop thinking about this bottle, even the next day. Here's hoping it wasn't a one off (even if positive), and that the rest of the bottles step up like this one did.

Off the list at Montarra. They were not shy about using oak in this wine. Hints of tropical fruit with a touch of floral. First time with this bottling. Mrs. TLV liked it a lot more than I did.

Notes of violet and dark fruits. Well balanced - I did not detect any heat or abundance of alcohol. I'll give my remaining bottle another three years minimum.

Pop and pour with some grilled NY Strips. This was a lovely Zin with notes of spice, bramble and dark fruits. I will hold my remaining bottle for two to three years, but in a good place right now if you have multiples. 92+

4th Saturday Group dinner bottle. Allred brought this along - we had just consumed a Legacy Label bottling the week prior. No discernible difference to my palate. Ginger and cashew notes. Still very young, but drinking well already.

Off the list at 1776. Very tight, but very fruit forward on this night. I didn't detect any of the white pepper like the previous bottle, but I did get the dark fruits and some oak. I still think this will be nice in 5 years.

Pop and pour, paired with a grilled rib-eye. Still dark in the glass and showing no visible age. More dark fruits than red tonight, but excellent balance. Always amazing qpr.

Opened at Anvil. Decanted for about 90 minutes prior to dinner. Similar to my prior bottle, but I felt the tannins were more obtrusive than in the past. Drink with a decant or hold.

This bottle was more in line with my earlier bottles. The sweetness is there, but not in a cloying manner. Honey and apricot front and center.

Opened at Anvil. I know there is some debate about this wine, but this bottle fell firmly in the awesome camp. Notes of red apple, orange zest and some almond. Nice minerality and depth. Both bottles have been great so far.

Opened, but not decanted for about 45 minutes prior to dinner. Very light garnet color with clear hue throughout. Feminine nose of cherry and forest. Medium weight with lovely balance. In a great place right now. 93+

The old axiom that there are no great wines, only great bottles was on display here. Always my favorite RM Chard, this was shining last night. Consistent with prior notes, but the showcased a creamy mouthfeel that I can't properly describe - almost like a liquid butter, but not in that typical California buttery popcorn way. Just an amazing showing.

Pop and pour. Beautiful yellow gold in the glass. Nose of citrus with just a hint of floral. Picks up a bit of pear and red apple on the palate. I thought this was initially better upon opening and seemed to shut down after an hour or so. Seems a decent value in my opinion.

This was decanted for about an hour prior to dinner. Inky dark in color and not showing any age in appearance. Nose was fruit forward with dark fruits and cocoa, with soft tannins.

Pop and pour with a dessert cheese course. This was a bounce back bottle after the last one fell a little flat. Apricot and lemon oil with nice acidity and balance. Wish I had more.
