Tasted over two days. Day one, bottle funk overwhelmed the wine aroma. The wine tasted lovely, but the nose was disconcerting. Day two after 24 hours of decanting, the funk blew off and the wine achieved a very fine level of drinkability.

Great PnP choice tonight. It’s a little young but the complexity and the structure are very apparent. Still very drinkable today. Looking forward to trying this again in five years.

First impression -- unbelievably sweet upfront -- almost to the point of being undrinkable. More character and interest after the first wave of sweetness passes, but drinking more than a few sips might be a chore. I'm going to give it some time in a decanter to see if my opinion changes.

Two hours of decanting has helped and the initial cloying taste has softened. Still not to my taste, but it has improved significantly with time

Austere, straightforward Bordeaux. Pencil lead and saddle leather notes. Likeable, but not notable.

Quick decant and pour. Color and nose are more muted, but the wine tastes ripe and lush.

I gave this wine a second chance and it delivered. 4 hours of decanting yielded a wonderful wine.

Decanted 2 hours. Blah. Solid, workmanlike Bordeaux blend but I was counting on more. Hopefully the next bottles show better.

Decanted for three hours. This wine blew us away. The aroma alone was spectacular, but the wine was also definitely in great form after almost 20 years. We drank it alongside a 2015 Napa Cab. The stylistic differences really showed but the Bordeaux was the clear winner. A second bottle was not given the same amount of decanter time and it showed.

Decanted for two hours, tasted alongside a 2013 Sea Smoke Southing. The Belle Pente was the belle of the tasting. Mature, with a supple burgundy character.

Wow. PNP for Oscar night. Great structure and balance. Tasted along with a Silver Oak and it was no contest.

Pop and pour of a 375 ml bottle. Lovely Bordeaux. Garnet color, nice legs in the glass. Finish is a little shallow, but otherwise a winning bottle. Looking forward to revisiting this wine in 8-10 years.
