The wine is very young, but still approachable with proper decanting. Give this wine the correct about of bottle time and you will be rewarded; lay it down. I noticed great structure will lots of depth, including the long finish we all love.

One of the best 2011 Pinots I've had. This one drinks great now, but will only get better as you let it rest over the next 10 years.

This wine showed great; good body, balanced, nice fruit flavors showing. Lots of life left in this wine.

I was amazed at how well this wine shows; great body, good acid, and well balanced. I will be purchasing a few cases. You can not beat this wine at the price.

A great Chardonnay! This blows away most of the big boy Chards in the $30 retail price points. Buy it if you can find it.

This small production Howell Mountain Cab is an incredible buy at it's price point. This wine is made by Toby Forman who is the consulting winemaker for the Forman wines; Rick Forman is an icon in the Napa Valley. The wine is made at the same winery, with the same equipment, by the same winemaker at half the cost. The wine is drinking great right now, elegant, good structure, depth, great body, and gets even better the longer you decant the wine. I will be purchasing more.

This Chardonnay from Kirk is incredible - Step aside Peter Michael It is very complex, good acid, just enough richness, soft and creamy that is in balance with the acid. It will drink great for years; I just wish I had the discipline to save a few bottles.

This is a great little white wine Carter Cellars planned on using for their "A" label, but changed their mind. So good, I can drink this one every day.

This is the best 2011 Cabernet I have had to date, blowing away some of the 2012's I've had. Mike Smith did a great job showcasing the Dr. Crane fruit - A rich, full-bodied wine with silky tannins, ripe blue & black fruit and toasty oak. Decant for a couple of hours, or lay down for 5+ years.

The 2012 Silencieux is an incredible wine at it's price point. This wine is great now, pop and pour, but it really starts to show the depth and complexity after an hour of decanting. I will save a case for next year, if I can keep myself from drinking it all now. Kirk did an outstanding job making this one.

I had this one when first released, very tightly wound up, but still great structure and dept. I Just opened a bottle the other day, the wine is great! Still young, just needs some time to unwind. I think this 2011 will evolve into an incredible wine. Kirk builds his wine for the long haul, just like his father.

The wine has improved over the last year. This is a full throttle big wine that now has softened. This is one of the many wines that needed some bottle age to really be enjoyed. Great wine! Wish I had more.

This is the best 2011 Carter Cellars I've had at this point. I though the wine opened up after 2 hours delivering nice big fruit that integrated well with the tannins, nice long finish.

Amazing wine! The best Pinot Noir I've had right out of the gate. Very soft mouth feel, with a long lingering finish.

This wine take a few hours to unravel. Good ripe firm tannin structure, with a long seductive finish. Needs more time to rest.
