Red
2014 Paso Ranches Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles
Odd bay leaf aroma and strange spruce flavor on the palate.

1/7/17, 5:49 AM - Like a Christmas tree. Very odd. Ever accidentally get a spruce needle in your mouth? Very unpleasant.

Tasted at Lapostolle virtual tasting at Total Wine in Chantilly, VA on Saturday, August 13, 2016 with Charles de Bournet Marnier Lapostolle. This was great for the QPR. Brilliant deep red color. Balance tannins with notes of Chocolate and lesser coffee. This was the best and most interesting of the 4 wines tasted. Small amount of sediment. $19.99

8/21/16, 1:44 PM - I, too, attended the Lapostolle tasting in Chantilly last weekend. I second your opinion that this was the most interesting of the bunch. The
Clos Apalta was delicious, but the Canto de Apalta was a true value for the price.

Another consistent bottle. Still not there, but damn ... I wish I had bought more as I think this one would really be even better in a couple of years.

6/28/15, 3:47 PM - I agree. We were in California last month and bought six more bottles at the vineyard. We are club members, so we can get more with a club discount at any time until they run out.

6/28/15, 5:54 PM - I see you live in MN. We're in VA. I Don't know if you have had a chance to visit any of the other Foley partners. We have been Foley members for about 3 years. Our daughter was going to school in CA, so we were regulars. If you ever have a chance to visit Los Olivos, make sure you stop by Firestone and Lincourt. The Lincourt tasting room isn't much to look at, but they make some very tasty Pinots.
