Didn't decant or filter and found no sediment. Looked and smelled young and fresh and improved in the glass with air.

Very bright, pretty and translucent with a delicate nose of sweet fruit. Palate is mid weight that builds for the finish. Typical of the vintage, some air concentrates the nose broadens the fruit profile. Not going south anytime soon but unlikely to improve.
White
2013 Sanguis Beekeeper Central Coast Chardonnay Blend, Chardonnay (view label images)
Drank with a fried chicken dinner and did not disappoint. It’s dark and rich for a white and very drinkable. Packs a punch with the 15%.

Writing a week later. Looked really pretty with a very bright rim and wouldn’t have guessed it was unfiltered. Almost no sediment and what was there stuck to the bottle. The fruit was plush and red with a good structure. The half bottle I saved for night two was just as good.

Needed about 15 minutes of airtime to come around and the 1/2 bottle I saved for night 2 held up wonderfully.

Looks like a fckn mess with considerable sediment and graininess culminating into a bricky reddish brown. Cork was intact and black at the tip. Much prettier in the decanter than the glass. The nose is bright and fresh with florals, sweet macerated berries and pencil shavings. All of the classic well-aged Cabernet flavor expectations are met leaving you with the loveliest sweet plum/espresso finish. A delicious mess.
White
2013 Sanguis Beekeeper Central Coast Chardonnay Blend, Chardonnay (view label images)
Probably won’t score a bunch of points right now but it’s still quite pleasant and quaffable. At 15.1% it packs a nice buzz and more appropriate for cocktail wine than dinner time. Served at 50F.
White
2013 Sanguis Borrowed Central Coast Chardonnay Blend, Chardonnay (view label images)
Still in great shape with an extraordinary acid cut to it. Looks gorgeous and has a nice tropical floral nose. A big wine with a gentle lift on the palate.

Deep ruby with remarkable clairity and a nice bright rim. Very expressive nose of sweet fresh licorice and pine forest. Palate is richly textured with currant and dusty bramble berries framed by well integrated oak. The finish is rich and long with good acidity and balance. I drank one shortly after release and thought it was lean but it’s plumped up and ready now. The 15.1% abv is apparent but not overwhelming. Delicious and quaffable as a cocktail wine and goes well with food;that’s why I’m drankin’ the whole motherfuckin’ bottle. Cheers!

Gorgeous bright cherry and crystal clear. It’s an hour before sunset and this looks spectacular. The nose has shy flowery hints, wood and earth that develops with airtime. It’s really rich, lush and juicy with a solid acid backbone and some tingly mineral notes on the way out.

Still looking bright and flashy the nose is pretty shy. Lush and racy red fruit and a long juicy finish.

You can see the well integrated texture that’s about to coat your palate in the bright rim. The nose is sharp and lively with sweet black fruit and rich wood. It’s lush then gripping in the mouth with black fruit, tea and mushroom. Took a couple of hours to open up and likely will hold on for a bit.

Truly extraordinary the way the nose just flows onto and then joins the excited palate. The best Dusi vineyard I can remember.

Looks lovely, clean and glassy. Nose is alive and very inviting with cool spice. It’s a knockout on the palate with rich black fruit and exotic spice. I don’t know if it’ll ever get any better but at 14.6 ABV it’s not going south anytime soon.

Has put on some weight in a good way. The fruit is black with some olive and fig. Not particularly complex but very drinkable and enjoyable.

Drinking this outside in the last 40 minutes of daylight and it’s very pretty. The nose is very expensive and inviting with cocoa dusted sweet fruit and wildflowers in a cedar box. The palate is medium bodied+ with the fruit gaining richness on the finish with a solid underpinning of firm yet plush tannins. The fruit profile is plum, currant and black cherry. A half hour of airtime has done wonders and added a point, so do decant if possible.

Looks very pretty with a sweet and inviting nose. Initially it was a bit brash and peppery, but some airtime brought out lush red fruit with some rich oak. This wine is cocktail strength but would be friendly to rich food.

Beautiful color with perfect clairity and a dusty floral nose. The fruit is darker and very well structured on the palate with a long juicy finish. I like these young but they can certainly age for a decade.

Pop'n'pour through a filter. No sediment and very fine looking with good clarity and very pretty overall. Soft and luscious on the palate with bright red fruit and a nice pepperyness on the clean finish. It would go great with food and should be drunk sooner than later.

Very pretty magenta with a bright rim and solid viscosity. I’m getting cool smoky herbs behind sweet fruit and olives on the nose. The palate brings some dusty cocoa black cherry and currant with a mineraly grip. The high ABV is well concealed in this quaffable juice.

Massively fruity with supporting smokey mineral notes. The nose is assertive and welcoming perfectly implying what’s about to overwhelm your palate. There’s no sediment and you’ll need to shine a light through your glass to see the activity going on it there.

Looks stunning and flawless, brighter than the 2014 Dragon vyd I just had. Nose is sharply focused with fennel blossoms and sweet dark fruit. Palate is huge up front, slick in the middle and round and plush on the finish with perfectly balanced acidity and mineral tingle. Phenomenal!

Remarkably fragrant nose with flowers and concentrated berries. Looks pretty and solid. Rich and assertive on the palate with a robust finish.

Opaque black ruby with a bright rim, gorgeous. The expressive nose gives up blackberry pie, mocha and sweet coffee with some faint floral tones. Rich and lush dark fruit with a long juicy finish. There’s a small amount of sediment so recommend filtering.

Wow! Night 2 with this and still phenomenal! Drinking from a Bordeaux glass and the nose is intense and so inviting. Temperature is 66 degrees and perfect.

So quaffable I almost forgot to take a note. From the saved half bottle night two: beautiful with ripe fruit and subtle floral hints. Palate is rich with a brilliant coupling of sweet and savory. Didn’t check or think about exactly what I was drinking but it became apprarant after a few sips it was something extraordinary.

Beautiful appearance with some dusty Cabernet defining the nose. There’s plenty of Bordeaux inspired niceness for the palate. Tannins are plush and integrated. Don’t see it improving or going south anytime soon.

I poured the first half into a half bottle for night two before filling night one’s glass. There was cloudy sediment that didn’t filter out completely after a couple trys. Nice color and smelled inviting. Tasted pleasant but kinda washed out. The texture of the sediment was bothersome though. Overall disappointing. Night two was better, sediment was very minimal and appearance was remarkably better. Nose was tight and focused and the grip of the Grenache came through on thie finish. Should’ve drank years ago. At $65, terrible value.

Sexy blushing absolutely gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. Remarkably pretty. Very focused blue to black fruit cone. Lots of fruit salad perfume and very sleek on the palate with some chalky minerals before cooling to the crisp 49’F out here. Drinking the other one this year.

Dark and pretty, excellent clarity. Getting some florals on the nose with the usual bramble and pepper, starts soft and fluffy and gains focus. Nice round mouthfeel that's plump and juicy, bringing back the nose.

Drank over 2 nights and thought its a Zin built to last. On the darker, richer side for Zinfandel.
Red
Didn't take any notes, but remember that it was a lighter style with peppery / spicy notes and good acid.
