Excellent. 14% alc. So much better tyhan the 2007 Chateaneuf du Pape we had a week ago.
Colour: rich dark red berries
Bouquet: rich red berries and fruit - mulberry, plum, plus spice and and touches of vanilla
Palate: as bouquet, lovely mouthfeel, lots of pepper, rich velvety berry texture, very soft tannins, and long very dry finish. Quite full bodied.

Excellent. 11% alc. Beautiful wine that seems so young still, benefitting from screwcap. Museum release in 2013.
Colour: very pale straw yellow
Bouquet: slightly smokey citrus.
Palate: lime, geen apple and pear, very fresh and clean, long palate. Fine acidity. Great balance between fruit and acid.

Very good. 14.5% alc. A relatively light style, but alcohol makes it less so.
Colour: bright black berries
Bouquet: spicey red berries, some hot alcohol, touches of leather and oak
Palate: spicey and juicy, red berries, becomes relatively full bodied with breathing, but mainly due to the high alcohol I think.

Excellent. Similar comments to April 2020.
Colour: red/black berries, crimson edges
Bouquet: rich spicey red and black berries - black cherries, blueberries, raspberries, dusty, slight mint and vanilla characters
Palate: as bouquet, cascades of black berries, morello cherries and black olives, leather, tobacco, aniseed, fuller bodied now, fine grained soft tannins and balance, long dry finish

Excellent. Gorgeous dessert wine. 10% alc. Similar comments to 2 years ago.
Colour:rich dark golden
Bouquet: luscious fruit, slight whiff of ammonia, dried apricots
Palate: luscious but not botrytis, more late harvest, - rich but not overly sweet. Mandarin. Long clean slightly dry finish. Quite sophisticated.

Very good. 14.5% alc.
Colour: mid red berries, some browning
Bouquet: leather, pepper, some hot alcohol, dried herbs.
Palate: as bouquet, huge body, little fruit character left, leathery, dried herbs and spice, long finish.

Excellent. 13% alc.
Colour: deep black berry
Bouquet: dusty black berries and olives and dark chocolate, some vanilla oak
Palate: as bouquet, big berries flavour and big soft tannins, spicey with black pepper, very dry, slightly short finish. Love dark fruit flavours.

Colour: black berry, bright crimson edges
Bouquet: very savoury plums, vanilla oak, black fruits and olives,
Palate: mint, black fruits to the fore, liquorice, dark chocolate, black pepper, great spine, long clean dry chalky uplifted finish. Really puckerish fine grained tannins. Really opens out to become full bodied after 3 hours breathing.

very good. 14.5% alc. Huge wine a bit rough at edges, but it may just need a few more years. 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, 10% Shiraz.
Colour: deep black berry and dark chocolate
Bouquet: sweet dark fruits, black pepper, oak
Palate: huge palate, sweet dark fruits - black cherries especially, chunky big tannins, long finish, and very dry.

Very good. Still drinking beautifully since last tried in 2017. And very similar comments.
Colour: black berries
Bouquet: red berries - raspberries, currants - with touches of coconut, vanilla, some developed secondary characters balancing fruit
Palate: as bouquet, slightly jammy, vegemite character, full bodied, fine grained soft tannins, long clean finish

Colour: Pale lemon, greenish tinges
Bouquet: citrus notes some spice, 'caramelised apple, fig and cinnamon'
Palate: citrus, kerosene touch, botrytis' richness, good acidity snf length, long very clean finish

Excellent, maybe even better than before.
Colour: pale straw
Bouquet: aromatic, spicey citrus
Palate: spicey citrus, pears and apples, seems like some oak. Full flavoured and bodied. Very fresh and clean, long finish.

Colour: dusty blackberry
Bouquet: jammy dark fruits, dusty and spicey
Palate: blackberry and spices, dark chocolate, slight metallic character, quite acidic, very dry long finish.

Colour: pale lemon with a greenish tinge
Bouquet: stone fruit, green mango, citrus
Palate: intense stone fruit, melon, green mango, white pepper and spice, vanilla oak, good body, intense acid, well balanced.

Excellent as so often with this modestly priced wine. Still drinking freshly despite age. 13.5% alc.
Colour: blackberry/dark chocolate
Bouquet: raspberries, blueberries, coffeee essence, black pepper
Palate: rich dark chocolate, black cherries, spices and charred oak. Fruit is quite developed and palate is silky smooth, with soft fine grained tannins, and dusty dry finish.

Palate: full bodied rich spicey red, blue and black berries, black olives, black pepper, liquorice, dark chocolate, mineral character, fine grained full tannins. Good clean finish. Quite smooth.

Very good for a modestly priced wine from the Riverland area. 13.5% alc.
Colour: dusty black berries
Bouquet: black berries and olives and dark cherries, dark chocolate, vanilla oak,
Palate: similar to nose, dusty and chewy, quite full bodied, very dry, long finish.

Excellent. Still drinking really well. And as I said in March it has held up remarkably well for a cheap wine. Cork quality was very good too. 13.5% alc.
Colour: dense black berry with bright edges still
Bouquet: smokey black berries and olives, oak
Palate: just like bouquet, sweet black coffee, very textural and dry, fine grained tannins, long finish. Secondary and tertiary characters rather than ripe berries character it once had, but still gorgeous, maybe better than ever. Full-bodied but soft.

Excellent. Still a superb wine that has aged well. 10.9% alc.
Colour: golden yellow
Bouquet: citrus and dry honey, lanolin
Palate: same as bouquet, slightly spicey, full bodied, very dry despite honey flavour, long clean finish with good cleansing acid.

Excellent. 14.5% alc. Shiraz 75%, Mouvedre 25%.
Colour: bright dark red berries
Bouquet: raspberries and morello cherries, spice,
Palate: full bodied on palate aided by high alcohol, with raspberry flavours dominating fruit, black coffee and pepper, uplifted acid, big tannins, but a little hollowing out in mid palate where fruit does not match the alcohol. Long clean finish.

Excellent. 13% alc. Clones MV6, 114 and 115. Interesting to compare with the Brokenwood IV-MV6 clone from last night. It lacks the same depth.
Colour: light red berries
Bouquet: strawberries, sour dark fruits, some savoury character, spice, vanilla, licorice.
Palate: as bouquet and opens out really nicely with breathing. Sour morello cherries Long clean finish.
