Consistent with last few bottles. Deep ruby in color, this wine reveals aromas of cinnamon, raspberry and orange rind. The mouth feel is medium bodied with more red fruits and spices. The finish is tight with the fruit, spices and acidity no longer struggling to integrate. 14.1% abv.

Purchased for $47US, this bottle performed much better than an earlier one. I thoroughly enjoyed 6 of the 7 bottles I've tasted so far.

Consistent with previous bottles. This was my 11th tasting of the 2016 vintage and this offering continues to be noticeably leaner and more austere than 2015 and 2014. My impression is that drinks well but lacks the complexity and deliciousness of prior vintages. I bought a whole case of this and will revisit bottles over the next weeks/months.

Medium garnet in color, this wine reveals dark fruits including plum, blackberry and white flowers on the nose. The mouth feel is medium bodied with more black berry and black cherry. The finish brings the fruit and together in a pleasant, no hard edges fashion. 13.5% abv.

Purchased for $13US, this vintage is noticeably leaner and less complex but remains a good qpr, perfect for everyday sipping.

Consistent with previous bottles. Pale salmon orange in color, this sparkling Chinon is a treasure and joy to drink. If tasted blind, I would not identify Cab Franc as the grape. The nose shows strawberry with just a small hint of tobacco and the mouth feel and finish are explosive, with darker fruit coming out. 12% abv.

Purchased for $20US, this is a beautiful sparkling wine. I'm glad the producer is making more of this and it's now available (almost) year round. This is a quality wine from an outstanding producer.

Decanted for 30 minutes, making this wine much more open than the previous 2 bottles tasted without a decant first.

Consistent with previous bottle. PnP. Dark ruby in color, this wine (90% Tinto Fino a/k/a Tempranillo/10% Cabernet Sauvignon) showed saddle leather, tea leaves, violet and dusty earth on the nose. The mouth feel brought heavy tannins, blackberry and bitter cherry. The finish was firm but elegant. 13.50% abv.

Purchased for $30US, this wine has sexy complexity that is drinking well now and has the guts for further aging.

The mouth feel brought more red fruits, cigar smoke and black tea undertones. The finish was medium in length with the acidity, red fruits and earthy elements in balance. 13% abv.

Medium crimson with a slightly cloudy color, this wine showed raspberry, stewed plum and smoke on the nose. The mouth feel brought unexpectedly high acidity and a somewhat oxidative taste. The finish was a little harsh with the excess acidity overwhelming the nice fruit.

Recently purchased for $43US (including shipping) from WineBid.com, this wine was my least favorite of the three 2004 Le Cadeaus. At 10 years, drink the 2004 Diversite offerings now. They seem to be fading.

Consistent with previous bottles tasted November, 2016 and March, 2017. Pale yellow in color, this sparkling wine revealed apricot, pear and white flowers on the nose. The mouth feel was bone dry but brought crisp acidity and subtle citrus undertones. The finish brought more of the dry elements out. 12% abv.

Tasted at home in Wilmington, DE. The bone dry element requires this offering to be served with food, preferably oysters.

Deep tawny in color, this fortified wine showed caramel, dried raisin, apricot, fruitcake and a nutty, almond aroma. The mouth feel brought sweet tastes with more raisin and fruitcake elements. The finish was assertive with the caramel and raisin notes holding in check any burn from the 20% abv.

Purchased for $14US, this is an enjoyable, entry level Tawny that is a decent qpr. Not as complex as 10 or 20 year Tawny, its nevertheless enjoyable.

Slightly cooked, stewed fruit. Went back through my purchase notes on CT, found this was purchased from the dreaded PLCB in 2017. That explains it and their horrible, unrefrigerated storage and distribution system. I'd like my $47.99 back!
