Great value, in a very good place now. Creamy and buttery with vivid acidity, half citrus and half tropical fruits with hint of marmalade, decent length on the finish.

Solid chard with decent fruit and minerality, like a leaner burg with NZ ripeness

Ultimate mindfuck bottle in blind tasting. Easily spotted as natural wine but the orange wine character made it hard to identify origin. Interesting wine to try and buy

Very interesting take on Viognier. Not as oily as many northern Rhone counterpart but comes with lively vibrancy of natural wine.

Good fruity and structure NZ pinot. Slowly opens up after 1hr in glass, last 4 hrs and going stronger. Will last for over a decade

Glad to see no sign of premox. Honey and malt that later turned into butter notes, ripe stone fruit on the palate with high acidity. On its peak with limited upside

Strong reductive note that accompanies this wine everytime it is tasted outside of the winery. Still structured, all fruits turned into herb and spices.

Exceptional form. Tertiary notes of leather and roast meat with hawthorn and black tea, dried rose pedals. Superb balance and aftertaste. CdP of its old glory days

Very ripe fruit bomb, balanced and well structured, chewy big dark fruit in the mouth, not very complex but long finish. Pleasant barossa that represents ripe 2004.

Sweet, strong afterkick, interesting bottle but not too much complexity. Mostly fresh stone fruit. Not sure if it will gain complexity with age.

Ripe and big, tannin shows after an hour in glass, approachable now but with decades of life to improve and gain complexity. Very good value for a long-life bottle

3hr of decanting released early potential of this solid Pommard. Good structure and length, red cherry mixed with good spice, rustic but ripe tannin, with plenty of room to improve over next 10+ year

Sonoma level ripe fruit + German signature pepper nose. Decent finish but too young for GG level complexity to develop. Hold

Very solid old style brunello. Medium body at first with full intensity strung within tight but ripe tannin, slowly unleash its power on the palate as air flows thru, gains depth and length as time went on. A star that is meant for decades of aging.

Solid cali cab, aged and resolved but still strong and slightly green tannin, big but not complex. Decent but don't think the tannin would ever mellow enough before the fruits fade away

Fantastic tertiary aroma and palate, truffle leather infused with dried flower and white pepper, roast meat. Savoury with lively acidity and great length, aftertaste lasts long after the tasting is done. At its absolute peak, doesn't have the complexity of Lalala but in its prime form. Fantastic value

Tight and unforgiving on first night. snug tannin and acidity with flavours slowly unfolding via triple decanting for 2 hours. the remaining 1/3 showed much better 2 days later. A full blossom without tertiary flavours developed, but an interesting structure. The tannin is still firm and strong like the roof of a house, but the flavours are dripping down from the top of it like rainwater flowing down from the roof. Keep this wine for another 10-20 years and something great might be there.

Very closed upon initial opening, took home and drank 2hr later, opened to somewhat floral yet restrained fruit, mid body with no obvious layers or significant length, somewhat hollow and even watery. Decent drink but definitely does not showcase the great terrior it represents.

A strong but refined Corton that drank well thru the night and well into the next day! Structured and withheld on the first night, opened up into layers of ripe fruit and earth tones on second day! A well-made GC without top depth, complexity nor length, but very pleasant to drink.

Consistent, at its prime now, a much more classic approach to CdP unlike the post-95 over-extracted style. Drank like a good Bordeaux with more complexity. Tertiary is beginning to overtake the little primary notes left so do drink up!

Great performance. Tastes delicious from the bottle, sour cherry and meaty notes, slight iron taste emerged later which led most of the crowd towards GC village. Seem to be in its prime now and will drink well thru the entire evening.

body of a prime Bordeaux from great vintage, with less spice and riper fruit, with taste of left-banker and structure of right-banker. Long finish that didn't fade thru the night. Wine improved over 1hr decant and 3hr dinner. Very impressive.

Deep and complex, way too young for now, big structure but layers were not developed yet. Decently balanced, doesn't have acidity of young SQN to bring vibrancy to the huge pile of fruit. Need 10+ years to integrate

Possibly the best bottle of D'yquem I've ever had. Bottle in great condition, light gold in color. Typical royally D'Yquem nose that is fresher than 86 and 89, more depth than 95, 96 and 99. On the palate it has great waves of acidity uncommon among D'Yquem I've had, extremely vibrant and carried the elements among it. While the 2001 was a lot more complex and defined, the 83 had a hint of developed tertiary elements of dried fruits, marmalade and caramel, yet retaining that vibrant freshness otherwise.

Flamboyant as a SQN should be, all the power and depth integrated within perfect balance, not as complex or layered as higher cuvee or older vintages, but still very sexy, like a OL with big boobs long legs and fire red lips in black-frame glasses and suit. Way too young now but already delicious.

Deep dark red in color, very deep nose of berries and herbs/spices, feels like an alluring witch stiring her magic potion. Structure is big but not expansive, rather draws one's palate inwards. Too rushed (4hr decanting) to display all layers and elements. Drinks better the next day. A very good wine that is more spice driven than its fruitier younger versions.

On a night besides burgundy powerhouses, this wine remains being interesting. Light toast and oak turned citrus and minerality thru hours of decanting. Mid+ body and finish, delicate and balanced with underlying craziness within (I wanna be a cote du Jura scream)?

Popped during Acker auction, perceived as a solid young Meursault, roasted sesami and white flowers on nose, white peach and nectar grows with decanting, good minerality with mid+ finish. Showcases what Canadian wine is capable of. Benchmark for PEC

Despite the travel from Guangzhou to HK over the day before popping, the wine showed beauty and beast all in one. Strong gamey nose wrapped around a graceful yet intense body of sweet black fruit that grew sweeter with time. Fully evolved and should be drunk now at its peak.

Tertiary nose with dried red fruits, smoked meat and forest notes, blind-tasters guessed Burgundy or Barolo, does not have the typical pepper nose. Holding up great on the palate with lively acidity, apparently tannin holding up the frame of the wine, with intense flavours. Finish is med+. Much better condition than the last bottle.

Deep nose of eucalypti, plums and dark cherries. This Napa cab gave away its premium status just based on the depth of its nose. The wine was huge but balanced, powerful yet refined. long finish yet no fatigue. It is wines like this that placed Napa on the top of the Cab world with the best of Bordeaux. Not the most explosive nor ferocious wine but definitely a grand presence.

Nose like a less-syrupy aged PX, with stronger cinnamon and tree bark notes. Tawny in color, the sweet fortified wine felt light in comparison to a port or PX in terms of weight, and the high acidity of Barolo really helped the balance. Non-fatiguing at all. Medicinal yet very enjoyable. Very intriguing experience!

Decanted in my cellar for 2hrs prior to dinner, pour back into bottle and left open till the last part of the gathering, just beginning to show its alluring nature. Signature SQN EBA perfume of crushed dark flowers, blue and black berries, figs and pepper. A wine that both pushes onto you and pulls you into it. By the words of a future MS: A sexy woman with brain, face and body. Ultra concentrated yet light weight on the palate, extremely fine tannin and delicate elements, structure that holds everything in place and balance without showing any angular edges. Acidity was weaved seamlessly into the tannin and carried the huge fruits minutes into the finish. A wine that conquers stubborn old-world traditionalists. Art

Lovely tertiary nose of dried flower pedal, mushroom and truffles. Classic Vosne stew strawberry nose. Light garnet/berry tea color, incredible high fill level with fresh cork(recork?). More complicated on the nose than the palate. Mid body with lasting intensity with resolved yet significant tannin and lasting acidity.
