Textually nice, but felt advanced and a bit disjointed. One bottle left and going to open sooner than later.

First time trying this wine, which I purchased from the winery directly. Decanted for 2 hours before dinner. Unforatately just not showing well. Could have confused this with any less than average Cabernet. Bummer.

Opened bottle shortly after removing from my cellar. Took a good hour to warm up and begin to show. During the first hour noted a bitter finished which burned off after an hour, and unfortunately the bottle was finished shortly there after. Moral of the story, is decant for at least an hour to begin to appreciate this wine.

Needs a couple more years in the cellar or a long decant at this point.

Decanted for two hours before dinner. When I returned the wine to the bottle before taking it to the restaurant, the sediment appeared odd in appearance, almost slimy, so I was concerned. First glass at dinner was very tight and still closed. However, an hour into dinner, and just and as I was having my last few sips, the wine really began to show. Needs at least 4 hours of air at this point in time.

Compelling nose. Nice blend of earthy flavors of pencil lead, tobacco and leather with fruit. Great now, but still youthful.

Amazing bottle of wine. Great balance of tropical food, custard, light oak and spice. I decanted the wine for 1 hour before serving, which really helped.

Leather, currant, spice, smooth tannins. Decanted for 1 hour. Wine really began to hit it's spot with another 1/2 hour of air.

Enjoyed at Scarpetta LA with some friends. Popped and poured. Wine was absolutely fantastic. Integrated. Sangiovese at its best.

Decanted for 1 hour before consuming. Great floral nose. Cherries, spice and fruit nicely integrated. I would give this wine a 94 if the finish was softer.

Dark fruit, ripe, but a bit on the sweet sided. Tasted as though there was some Syrah or something else blended into the wine to give it more weight. Still enjoyable.

Decanted for 1 hour before consumption. Ruby color, nose of spice, sandalwood and cigar box. Thin on the midpalate and finish. Earthy, dried cherries, spice, leather and mineral flavors. Mild to no tannins. That said, very smooth and enjoyable. Not sure how this wine will develope from here.

Although the nose smelled of light fruit and cigar box spice, the flavor initially not as good as the nose. After about 2 hours in the decanter, the wine was picking up significant body, tub finished by then.

One hour decant. Started out like a cab, but then developed flavors that almost appeared to be Super Tuscan in nature.
Which I did not expect.

Currently a 90, but anticipate this score to go up with time. Wine needs a good decant, at least 1 hour. Taste, to me, is similar to an Italian Lacrima. Inky. Big, dark fruit with an interesting, persistent finish.

Elegant, cherries, berries, but a bit of a harsh finish. With time, I would expect that to fade, elevating this bottle to a 95 or 96.

Darker golden color. Tropical fruit nose, peach, limestone minerality, with some sort of cinnamon or nutmet on the finish. With that said, don't think this will improve much with time, so drink up!

Even a pro can get it wrong. Not deserving of the 88 ws rating. Simple, basic, with very light flavors. Aging won't help.

Soft nose, which did not accurlately reveal the flavors of the wine. With about 1/2 hour of air, floral bouquet, in the style of Williams & Selyem, but different. Black cherry is the predominant flavor, with soft tannins and a silky full mouth feel. Finish could soften a bit, probably with some more cellar time, which could elevate the rating to a 93.
