Very light and translucent but with a lovely although quite gamey, earthy nose along with rich blackberries & cherries, slightly smokey.

Taste was on the sweetish side, good acidity with rich fruits but with a touch of oak and soft tannins, little bit of black pepper spice thrown in as well. Very enjoyable

In the glass, not as aromatic as I thought it would be, fairly muted nose of red fruits raspberries, cherries, some blackcurrant and slightly smokey.

Taste – Very drinkable, soft, much more fruity and ripe than I expected with firm acidity and a sweetish finish. Hints of smoke, spice and licorice. Drank this straight after opening and it was pretty good but it did improve while sitting in the glass, so maybe let it breathe and open up a bit and you will be rewarded with a decent CdR which can be enjoyed with or without food.

Taste – Like a ripe fruit salad with a few rogue sour grapefruits thrown in and mixed with the contents of a lawnmower box after a shower. Although a little sharp there was generally a good balance and it made for a nice SB.

Chardonnay like characteristics, peaches, melon, over-ripe bananas and that creamy buttery like smell.
Taste - I was expecting a little more after the build up from wonderful aromas but it was still pretty good. Initially it tasted very creamy with a big hit of peaches, pineapples and melon.
My only criticism and only a small one was, the taste didn't hang around long enough, after that initial mouthful of fruit and cream it came to an abrupt end.

Straight forward Pinot, simple, fruity, tangy, lively, good with food. Very light and vibrant in the glass, cherries dominant with a slight earthiness on the nose.
Taste - Sour cherry and raspberry fruit and really lively in the mouth but with softish tannins.
Pleasant enough without being anything spectacular

Fresh tasting with a real kick of that lovely racy acidity. Tropical flavours of peach and melon with a little tang of sharp grapefruit but there is still that grassy herbal attack hanging around in the background.

Very smooth mouth feel, black cherry and strawberries. Fresh with noticeable tannins and good acidity. Vanilla gives it a hint of sweetness. Great with or without food. On the second day is when this wine shows it's colours, softer with a delightful candy like flavour.

Aromas of cherries, vanilla, wood and leather, typical Rioja smells that really cries out 'old world'.
Taste - Sour cherries, oak and vanilla in abundance, noticeable but elegant tannins, sun baked leather and a rich mouthful make this a pretty good Rioja.
Made for Tesco by the excellent Baron De Ley

A non Vintage, made from grapes sourced all around Italy it has aromas of overripe plums and cherries, a little smokey tobacco and dried sweet figs.
Taste - ripe cherries again, smooth mouth feel and an initial sweetness that gives way to a slightly tart finish. Spice, leather and tobacco all there and quite firm tannins, this is definitely a sipping wine.

Blend of the local Mando grape along with various others including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Monastrell, Petit Verdo and Merlot.

Ripe cherry fruit with a little mint, cloves and menthol. Taste - Very rich and elegant with the dark fruit, menthol and roasted coffee beans slight earthiness about it.

Strong aromas of ripe fruit, blackcurrants and dark plums, herbs and chocolate.
Very dry, first thing that strikes is how elegant it feels in the mouth the extreme fruitiness of the wine, a little tart and very spicy, this really has got a kick to it but it still somehow conveys a smoothness and complexity. It's aged for 8 - 12 months in a mixture of French, Slavonian and American Barriques resulting in hints of smokey/ash and vanilla.

Heady aromas of dark berries, cherries, and a whiff of vanilla.
Taste - Velvety, full of rich juicy dark fruit, soft tannins, a little sweet vanilla but not overly sweet, liquorice, coffee, slight earthiness and just the right amount of spice.
Pretty good, with or without food
