Quaffable sub-$20. Lighter than I was expecting (more strawberry than dark Cali fruit).

If you're going to try this now, give it a couple hours of air. Really makes a world of difference.

5 hour decant, could've used more. Good, but I do miss how sumptuous it was in its earlier years.

Fantastic QPR here if the goal is a big fruit forward Washington cab. Night two was just as good.

Very pleased with the QPR here. Not a jam bomb, rather super easy drinking & enjoyable.

My first SQN. Golden in the glass. Nose makes you think this is going to be a red wine. Initally more heat than I care for. Palate is oily with peach pineapple and a saline finish.

Similar notes to MXPBUY, with the exception that mine was a pn'p from a 750. Same violet and cedar on the nose with red fruit and green / herb on the palate. I see no reason to wait. This beauty is resting on her plateau now.
Second night - Violet nose more pronounced, palate more green.

HUH captured the tasting notes pretty accurately (green, cherry, touch of tobacco). Med-light body, short finish.
My first South African wine, so really don't have anything to judge it against, but all seems to be consistent with a new world Cab Franc heavy blend with a decade of age.

First Aubert and it did not disappoint. Opened for about 30 minutes. Huge mouth feel, good pop of acidity to compliment the creaminess (lemon custard). Clean finish of white peach.

Knew that I was opening this too early, but had to see.
Very pleasant with a 3-4 hour decant. Standard medium+ BDX. No formal tasting notes.
Likely better enjoyed young (2-4 years).

3-hr slow ox, transferred to decanter & drank over 4 hours.
Drink with confidence if you are going for a heavy hitting Napa Cab.
Very jammy on the nose with the palate confirming huge blue-black fruit. Nice round tannins for a smooth finish.
Saved one glass each for nights two and three which performed just as well / better.

It's all pretty much been said. Cassis & ripe berry turning to cedar with the second night tasting better than the first. I see no reason to wait.

The mixed reviews got to me and I had to try it for myself. This is great stuff. Still has the fruit that I want in a high quality Howell Mountain Cab blend. Loses a couple points for a slightly harsh finish (though I appear to be alone in this experience / opinion).

High quality Napa Cab here. Oak and raspberry. Tannins tell you that this still has plenty of life left.
Night 2: Very little has changed.

Super easy drinking. All fruit. Delicious, strawberry jam. None of the funky / gamieness that can come with some Malbecs.

Cherry and even a little candied orange (early on). Acid on the back end. Drinking beautifully now. PnP with confidence, but still held together over nights 2 & 3.
Wish I had found it at $17 like Dale M.

Decant 6-hours: Cherries and red fruit. Still showing heat (alcohol) that needs to blow off (this was a common theme through all 3 nights).
Night 2: Tannins becoming more chewy.
Night 3: Similar to night two, but toned down.
Looking forward to popping my next one in 2020.

There is no escaping the fact that this is an aged Zin, which means you no longer get Black Sears's fruit in all its glory. Still drank well over two nights.

PnP - Blind I would've guessed BDX, not Napa. Medium red fruit and cedar.
4 hr decant - Showing more red Napa fruit (cassis).
Day 2 - Still showing good smooth Napa fruit.

Second Acohen. Rich currant /plum / spice. Probably peaking now, but has a couple years left.

Very puzzled by previous reviews stating that this is ready right now. This wine either needs tons of air or should sit for a bit. Huge tannins on the pop n' pour suggest that there are good things ahead, just not right now. Red fruit started coming through after 3-4 hours of being open.
I'll wait a couple years before popping my next one.
Can't rate as this is just too early.

Right from the open the nose (red fruit) tells you Napa Cab. Suggest an hour decant to get rid of the heat.
Update: Softened up on day two. Don't be shy about decanting this one.

Nothing special here. More fruit forward than most Bordeaux that I go for. Give this some air as the heat (alcohol) really kills the finish a the open.

P'np. 1/4" penetration on cork.
Loads of dark fruit, turning grape / raisin after a couple hours. Very enjoyable wine, but not nearly enough depth to grade it any higher.

Nose tells you right away that it's a Syrah with Viognier with white pepper. Palate was great on its own, but was lost when paired with salmon salad.

Guitarguy nailed it. Muted palate (much more faint than I would expect for an '05 Napa) cedar, cherry (maybe on your first glass, but goes rather quickly) tar.

Suggest decant for 3 hours. Color wouldn't give the age away. Tobacco, milk chocolate and red raspberry. No longer the big, fruit forward, Napa red wine that it likely once was. A graceful maturation none the less.
