Notes of black fruit, leather and tobacco on the nose. Round and full and ripe on the palate with silky tannins and a subtle acidity. Definitely a new world wine, quite different from a Loire Cab Franc but very delicious. More like a Bordieaux blend. I wonder if this is 100% Cab Franc or just mainly so. I want more.

Love this wine, delicate but structured, flavors of dried roses and cherries, delicious

Good wine. Plum and licorice on the nose, dark fruit, bitter herbs and a saline quality on he palate with a good finish
Red
Quite fruity without much tannic structure or acidity to balance.

A beautiful bottle of burgundy, bright ruby in color, great balance of pristine fruit, good acidity and good tannic structure

Excellent value, big southern Rhone character, blue fruit with herbs and minerals, well balanced.

Last night with dinner, this wine was strong, direct and a bit austere as I often find Barbarescos to be. There was a bit left in the bottle and 24 hours later it's a completely different story, fruit forward, round and welcoming with just a bit of tannic edge, almost like a good merlot. Very nice wine either way.

Light, pretty and somewhat austere. There's a note of dried flowers, not much fruit on the tongue, bright acid and an intriguing finish where the skin and seeds and stems come through. More thoughtful than pleasurable

Light and lovely, nose of cherries and dried flowers, smooth on the tongue with pure fruit and silky tannins but not much grip. There's depth and nuance and plenty to like. This is high mountain Nebbiolo, delicious and excellent QPR

Cork crumbled and wine tasted strongly of vinegar.

2001 Château le Meynieu Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Good perfume but somewhat thin on the palate, bright and acidic, low alcohol, not what I'm used to from the region. Got this from Garagiste where it was hawked as a classic style Bordeaux the way it was made in the '60s and '70s, not like the over extracted oaky modern wines. If so, methinks I like progress.

A rich, deep wine with strong mineral, saline qualities balanced by honey and orange notes, a hint of sherry, rounded out with a little oak. Very good and very interesting

Amber in color, with honey, orange and a little petroleum on the nose. Viscous, with both savory and sweet tones, this is an intriguing and unusual wine. There's a bit of sherry in the taste and it has a minerally and slightly tannic finish. A unique and excellent wine.

Got a bad bottle. Slightly effervescent and very acidic. Doesn't happen often but once in a while. From the other community notes, it sounds enjoyable, not in my case.

2007 Pago Casa Gran Falcata Casa Gran Valencia Mourvèdre Blend, Mourvèdre (view label images)
A big wine with earth and tar and chewy tannins. My lady opened this a few nights back and I'm just getting to it so it's had plenty of air, which I would say it benefitted from. Very nice for the price. I'll look for more.

This is a generous young wine. Not sure if it has the stuff to age for long. From the Buzet region of Aquitaine, it seems a bit different from your average Bordeaux. Bright on the nose and on the tongue with fruit and forest, muted tannins at the end. Some maritime influence reminds me of being on a boat at night.
A nice wine, certainly not great

Not a sipping wine, give it some time, some air and some hearty food. Beautiful aromatics, cedar, pine and herbs. At first a little thin on the tongue but over the course of a meal of grilled lamb, eggplant, onions and aioli it really came into its own with brightness and good tannic grip.
Red
Light and lovely, a little farmyard to go with the berry aromas, good acidity balances the fruit with some mineral depth. Not profound but a pleasure
White
Beautiful wild flower aroma, viscous with a bit o' honey, peach pits and sunlight, a magical and contemplative wine.
