Matched with a chicken dish and a wild rice blend, this complimented both perfectly. The pleasant acidity cut through the side sauce and prepped the mouth for another bite. Nice balance. 5 bottles left from the original 2 cases.

Another very nice 2003. It has aged as hoped, softer, but complex notes on the finish that goes on and on. Stored correctly since purchase, 1 bottle left from case.

Slight creaminess in the mouth, that turns fuller with pleasant acidity. Completed a shrimp dinner and cleansed after each bite. Last bottle, stored correctly since release.

A blast of blackberry/blueberry at first taste, followed by a bit of alcohol. Some acidity, and a long dark fruit finish. Review written at 2nd night tasting. Last bottle. A decent LBV for the price

Complex nose, black cherry, cigar, a little tar. Still structured with soft tannins. Dark mature berry in the mouth, balanced throughout, leading to a long wonderful finish. Sadly last bottle. Stored correctly since release.

Purchased off the shelf in Maui on vacation. Medium red, some light notes of raspberry and cherry. In the mouth some red fruit, but not much in the way of depth
or complexity. Ends with light acidity.

Purple with noticeable bricking. Muted nose of black berry, light leather, and slight green notes maybe from the minimal Cabernet Franc. Some fruit in the mouth, but not in balance. Certainly mature and faded from earlier bottles. Ends with light tannins.

Amazingly complex. Probably one of the best Chasseur Pinots I have tasted, and have been purchasing for years. Still young, good fruit, earth. Balanced throughout with a long dark cherry finish combined with pleasant light tannins. Cellared correctly since release.

This has come together nicely and drinking more balanced throughout versus a bottle from about 6 years ago. Similar style to Dunn's Napa Cabs, but not as complex. Guests loved it.

Color, a slightly rusty medium red . Nose dominated by pleasant raspberry and cedar. An elegant Bordeaux blend, balanced throughout. Enjoyable finish that begs another sip. This has stood up very well and certainly at least a few more years left in it. Cellared correctly since release.

Almost black in the glass. Big nose of blackberry, blueberry, black dirt. Rather mouth filling, but in a good way. Tannins have integrated, noticeable, but they slide into a good, very long finish. Certainly not a Napa Cab, but an enjoyable Cayuse statement.

About 30 minutes of open time and this came to life. One of the wines of the night. A mature Las Cases, elegant nose of black fruit. Elegant from the front of the mouth throughout. Finishes with very soft tannins and slight acidity. Beckons for more and the group complied. Cellared correctly since release.

Very nice bottle, medium/dark red. About 30 minutes of open time and found earth, the red dark berry spectrum, integrated tannins. It continued to bloom with time. Paired with a 2000 Pierre Usseglio Cuvée de mon Aïeul for a short rib dinner main course. The Clos des Papes had a slight advantage in the voting.

Initial nose of smoked meat, earth, and cassis. Needed about an hour of open time, and it developed nicely. Put on a little weight, with raspberry and cherry more pronounced. Tannins certainly integrated now. Medium red.

Popped and poured a bit. Purple/Dark Ruby. Very slight bricking.Beautiful Syrah nose, Immediate nose was blueberry with a hint of earthiness. Gave it time and it showed its stuff: Blueberries, ripe raspberries, light pepper, and definite violets. In the mouth: It has come together from an earlier bottle. Mature, smooth mid, and finishes with soft tannins and a bit of acidity. Great with BBQ ribs. Cellared correctly since release.

Opened for 2 Shiraz friends, and frankly it is one of the best Oz ever tasted. Dark, almost black. Still great structure, with years to go. Decanted for 1 hour and plenty of twirling gave blackberry, blueberry, expresso, and nice pepper. Integrated tannins, but they are still there. Cellared correctly since release.

Nose of dark fruit, blackberry and raspberry for sure, moderate earthiness, some tobacco notes after twirling. Somewhat disjointed in the mouth, with light fruit and still moderate tannins. Cellared correctly since release.
