Drinking great right now. Works well with fatty mushroom beef barley soup.

Drinking great right out of the bottle, sans food. Still food with red sauce pasta/hot italian sausage.

Needs at least a few hours or even a day to open up. Food wine, consume with red meat.

working well with Trader Joe's spaghetti, bolognese, turkey meatballs, but seems very oaky (with and without food)

Just pulled it out of the fridge after five days and let it warm up. Minty but not over the hill, tart cherry fruit. Very tasty. Based on this would age past current CT stated window of 2010. Better than on first night.

Just not feeling this wine. Hoping that it's still young, lacked the richness and complexity I was hoping for like great cabs I've had before.

A bit flabby on day one, but now on day two tannins have come out of the woodwork and oak has dissipated. Drinking well right now.

definitely not past its prime, or just evolving -- went great with chicken caesar salad

This wine just keeps getting better, both in the bottle and in the glass. Incredible cocoa/porcini nose, chocolate cherries on the palate. Tannins still a bit dry, definitely has a few more years to go.

Nose of strawberries and a little orange. Sticky sweet mouthfeel on its own, went great with seafood (scallops and crab) as that brought out some tartness and cut through the sweet. Fantastic summer wine.

Cheap and drinkable. Low alcohol makes it even more sluggable. Got a little flower scent on the nose in the second glass (after further chilling).

Nice fruit up front, but drymouth-inducing tannins at the finish killed any other flavor. Drank this over three days, second day was best, third day was still drinkable but the flavor-to-drymouth ratio had tilted way too far towards tannins.

Nice flavor, no finish.

Alcohol on the nose blew off very quickly, leaving a red fruit and a mildly spicy, medium finish.

First night -- good fruit, not much chocolate/smoke, but very bitter aftertaste even after a few hours. Second night -- corked it but did not refrigerate. Bitterness seems to have dissipated and now this is good stuff.

Delayed bitter aftertaste was very hard to get used to on first night. Mellowed considerably on second night, medium-to-full body.

Blueberries on the palate, bacony going down, slightly bitter finish but not in a bad way. Went great with Kraft macncheese.

Great QPR. Syrah predominant of course, really hit its stride about 60-90 minutes out of the bottle, sweetening up a bit, and went downhill from there. Cherry and leather.

Ate with a mishmosh meal of fatoush, roast tenderloin, and mashed potatoes. Went great and all nine drinkers who sampled it enjoyed it. I decanted for about an hour but thought it was good out of the bottle as well.

Bitter balloons. Undrinkable. Seems to be a common problem with this bottle so I don't know if the wine was actually flawed or if this was the intended result.

Great pipe smoke flavored nose develops after 30-45 minutes. Fruit-forward, nondescript berry jam. Not thick. Went nicely with all three cheeses I was eating, Humboldt Fog, Morbier, Point Reyes Original Blue.
