Better the longer it stays open…the dark, cherry flavor develops more depth and with a medium long mouth filling finish with some baking spice and violets at the finish

Muted nose and mouth. Fruit almost completely shut down. Very disappointed

By far the best of the 4 bottles i have consumed. Tannins finally integrated, dark fruit with some tar, bacon and molasses…much improved and think it has several years in front of it

Very good. Secondary characteristics coming through…dark berries and cola, some bacon or meaty aromas and flavors. Love this style wine.

Delicious wine but a HUGE bitch right now. Decant does 6+ hours or don’t touch until 2025!

Agree with most recent note...fair amount of oxidation, golden color, some nice petroleum and oil on the nose but fruit is far in the background. Drink up

Delicious for a wine at this price point. Floral, honeysuckle. Paired really well with both oysters and a Caesar salad.

This wine is better (to me) than some of the recent scores reflect. Medium bodied; smooth; primary fruit but some floral notes and perhaps some faint notes of cardamom beginning to appear. Tannins are soft. I agree that’s it’s not as fully complex as one might expect at this price point but it’s an entirely satisfying if unremarkable Pinot that I quite enjoyed this evening

Delicious bottle of merlot. What I expected from both the varietal and the winemaker. Smooth, resolved tannins in a medium bodied medium Dinah. There is a very satisfying charred or smoky finish on the lush fruit mouthfeel...like this wine a lot

Absolutely delicious. I love the creaminess and salinity of the wine.

Way better than the last bottle. This was showing classic mature Margaux notes in the nose and mouth and was absolutely delicious. Especially for the price AND considering the overhyped nature of this vintage — my experience has been with overripe wines in left bank 2003. Not this wine

Delicious. Distinct minerality on the nose and mouth. Serious acidity makes it delicious with strong cheese and spicy sushi

My experience with this wine was different to many recent posts. This was absolutely delicious and drinking phenomenally with definite notes of secondary development.

Extremely pale in color but not flavor. Mineral driven; flinty; after it warms up to room temp I detect some jalapeño pepper on the finish (in a good, interesting way not overpowering).

Excellent mineralogy in this dry Riesling. Paired perfectly with some spicy Indian/Tibetan cuisine.

Phenomenal Spring Mountain Cabernet...bold, dark fruit, some bite/grip from the tannin structure that eased the longer the wine was open. Decanted 1.5 hours before consuming, then continued to evolve over 3.5 hours. An interesting streak of mineralogy in the wine, adding to it’s complexity. Drank even better on Night 2 after returned the unconsumed wine back to the bottle over night. No hurry to drink given the tannic structure and how well it help up to the long decant.

Agree nearly 100% with the most recent tasting note from Wino101, although score it slightly higher as the funk and graphite nose up front are extremely pleasurable for me. It did turn a little tart and disjointed when I drank the last glass after dinner. Would drink within the next year.

Best and last of my 3 bottles. Perhaps I drank the 2 others too young. This bottle was very good. Poured through a Vinturi to accelerate opening and the wine sang. Lovely notes of ‘dirt’, raw meat, that I associate with Northern Rhône styled syrahs. Excellent. Wish I had more or held onto another bottle

Mature. Great balance between fruit and tannins and acids. Agree with comments about the length...definitely a little short on the finish but it is a lovely BDX for what it is. Old world through and through.

Good potential but drinking below its pay grade tonight. Nose great — some dusty notes of old school Napa floor cabs. Taste does not live up to the potential suggested by the nose — it’s good but not great. Might be too young; too tight; too something. Hoping it continues to evolve

Completely pre-oxed. The cork smelled of oxidation; poured and color is way too golden/dark for a 2007 Grand Cru Chablis. Unfortunately too many of the Fevre Grand Crus from this vintage and others are undrinkable. Extremely disappointing.
