It’s best days may be behind it, but still a nice drink. Alcoholic nose of blackberry and red currants. Odd Vegetal palate though

won't score because the window on this wine closed several years ago. Drink Immediately. Not much left.

Very soft and feminine. Not much to it. Pair with fish or perhaps more complexity will evolve overtime.

After over 15 vintages, I gave up my subscription last year and, after this wine, I’m starting to rethink my decision. One of my favorite. Round with good structure and long finish. Typical medium body

Big red. A bit vegetal on the nose, modest tannin but big, mouth-coating glycerine. I would wait until 2025 at it is a little closed right now but certainly has enough fruit to integrate better.

had a 375ml (so probalby evolved more quickly) and it drank great. Medium bodied, medium complexity. If it were not so hot on the nose, i'd rate higher. Drink your 375's now bc they are starting to decline.

Damp, earth floor, rose petals and pepper on the nose. A bit alcoholic. Palate is not that expressive, with low tannin nd modest finish but is round and bring you back for more.

In my 20 years of wine, I have yet to find a better value. $18 for a wine that had evolved over 9 years, wow! It's now highly oxidized but, likely because of the high acidity, it's still quite fresh and has at least a year of peak drinking left. The complexity is massive and the finish is respectable (hits the front palate modestly).
The oxidized palate is not for the neophyte but, for those that like aged white Burg, please add this to your collection and thank me in 10 years.
This was my inaugural year, after which time I have been buying most years. I frankly forgot about these bottles but now that I know the ageability of this wine, I'm not going to not touch the newer vintages.
#Stay safe, we're in this together.

This is the frustrating thing about Burg. One can never be sure how much to buy. I bought only one back before I knew never to do that. I would almost contract Covid-19 for some more. The nose is somewhat muted damp earth and berries. The palate is so expressive that I can only pick up the nose after not drinking for a while. On the palate, big tobacco and berries climax with a mouth coating, very long finish.
