A little disappointing compared to what it was a couple of years ago. Not exactly on the down side but rather flat right now.

This wine didn't quite live up to the WS Top 100 rating it got. Just kind of single dimensional now. I still have 4 more bottles.....

A little closed right now. I'll hold my 2006s and hope they open up next year. This is one of favorite SLB usually. For a village wine it is remarkable.

A good dinner wine but getting a little tired though for a côte du Nuits. Everyone mistook it for a côte du Beaune. Fairly simple with plumy jammy fruit and earth. I would check yours now if you are guarding this wine. I'll be drinking mine up.

Terrific Chianti - very elegant. It escaped everyone that this was a Chianti.

This bottle from the Cave in Savigny is a little past it's prime. Not sure if it's bottle to bottle variation or it's really past now. We have 4 more bottles and we'll try some more this summer to see. It was so beautiful last summer.

- Ruby color and aromas of strawberry and cherry. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of strawberry and cherry with a light body. Smooth texture with a short finish.

Big powerful full on Pommard. Great blackberries and dark cherries. With good tannins and acidity. I'm surprised the 2004 is this good now.

Parigot ages so well at 9 years old it has developed honey, toast, crisp acidity and good fruit. Super fresh way to start the night.

Super dark cherries, blackberries, red licorice, vanilla. Super fruity and lively acidy with round tannins. I think the two bottles I took to the US and found a little past prime must have been damaged by the trip. The bottles that have rested in my Cave in Burgundy are still great and have many years left at their peak.

Smoky, meaty, cassias. Pepper is way down. A little too smoky (charred barrel) at this point. Opened nicely. Better next year?

It's ok. Not a traditional Tuscan in my mind. No real faults just not very expressive. Kind of globalized nothing, no terroir.

Dark cherry red. Earth, leather, plum nose. Floral rose start followed by blueberries, black cherries, and cinnamon and allspice. Rich velvety mouth with soft tannins and good acid on the finish. Medium finish. A touch of oak. Drinking well now but with room to improve.

2006 was an under rated vintage. I bought some to fill a perceived drinking window vacancy, but not too much. As our go to Savigny village wine the Camus delivers pretty big in '06. Raspberry and mushroom nose. Fennel, piebald cherry goút. Loads of acid, light tannins. Long finish toward vanilla and oak.

Interesting as my first Crémant from Jura. A little let down on my expectation. Straw, good strong mousse, good acid, starts off nice, goes no where, and finishes weak.

This Beaujolais has really come into its own from when I first tasted it. I would be happy to serve this to anyone. A nice fruit forward way to start the evening with some charcuterie and a baguette.
