FINALLY. Down to my last bottle. Can't say I have really enjoyed this wine very much over the years. Way too much petrol for me, which is not my definition of Riesling. A bit of a poor choice and at $40 a bottle a bad choice.

I had two bottles of this wine over a couple of months. Both were the same. Lousy. I think they were chaptalized.

Exactly why I do not like Pinot. A waste of good money

This developed quite a bit of sweetness over time. Can't say it was bad though. Just not a Kabinett

I guess proper storage made the difference with this wine. It was big, rich, clearly merlot dominated, with a lot of sediment. Lots going on, but when you see Cottarella's name you know there will be. Got more, glad I do.

Sipped over three days alone, while Mrm remains in the desert. Interesting, still rich, but somewhat unusual.

Loved this one. Lots of fruit, lots of character. Wish I had more. Lots of life left.

The price does not match the quality of this wine. Good, but not great considering it is $40 in Canada.

Another rotisserie chicken out on our deck in PV. This wine is lovely. Big, rich, fully mature. Quite a bit of fruit and body in this one.

On our first nite in PV, out on our deck with rotisserie chicken. Not much better than this! The wine is wonderful. I love the stone fruit prunyness of it.

Sipped a glass a day over several days. It is interesting! Fruit flavor, somewhat rich, but a bit of a stretch to call it Gigondas.

Oh how I love this wine! What else can I say. At five years of age it is brilliant. Stome fruit, balanced, rich, flavourful. Just love it!

Enjoyed this tremendously. At five years of age it is drinking beautifully! What a nice balance, great fruit, nothing overbearing!

Opened a bottle to compare with the '07 Trignon, Sablet. Both are somewhat round, but easy to drink. With both wines I am sensing a lack of acidity, which makes them easy to drink, but I think it limits the overall character and quality of the wine. Maybe this will change in a couple of years, but for now, I am looking for more out of them.

This is a great cab, still going strong after all these years. Why would anyone pay for those high priced cult cabs when there are wines like this around. Yummy rich fruit, a bit of sediment in the bottom, and years left.

Why would I drink a $4.99 bottle of anything...other than spirits. This tells me why. Nothing there, green, stemmy, quite astringent and very basic. As another taster said, there are a lots of options. Opened it ...now what!!!

Brilliant full bodied rich cab, drinking at its peak, but fades fairly quickly. At Le Pidgeon in Portland with V & B. Fantastic restaurant.

With beef stroganoff, this is a brilliant sip before dinner, so I am sure it will only be better with the stroganoff. The brown brick color in the glass deceives the wonderful full maturity of the wine.

My wine of the year so far in 2011, and it is almost over. The most brilliant expression of a mature cabernet that I have had in a very long time. Wow!

had this wine over two nites, and have to confirm I love it. I loved the 2005 as well. maybe it is the prune/plum flavors I am getting, but whatever, I love it.

A glass on Mayne on our final nite. It was good but a bit closed. Another glass on Sunday nite at home with roast chicken, although Chelsea liked the Morgan Pinot better - I think she has a new world palate. A final glass on Monday with Mamma, Jordan and Mrm, along with pizza. It was actually better, although it had a touch of sediment at the end

A glass with an amazing roast chicken from Deacon Vale Farm Store, it was certainly a full bodied Pinot Noir with great character, big fruit flavors, and more of the same the next day, on Pappa's birthday with Mamma, Jordan and Mrm along with pizza.

This was lovely the first day, but even better the following day. It seemed a bit on the thin side at first, but was fine. Clearly a sauvignon blanc.

Drinking beautifully, and perfect with a wonderful prime rib. Not sure how many years this has left, but it is certainly perfect this year. Nice balance, typical bordeaux/cab fruit.

This was lovely. Considering its age and original price, the wine was first class. Balanced, with great fruit, and typical cab characteristics.

This was a major disappointment to me. After keeping it in pristine conditions, since purchasing it in Dallas in March, 1982, we opened it for the anniversary of our meeting 35 years ago. What can I say. Washed out, over the hill, fruit gone. Damn!!

Enjoyable but what I would call 'soft' a bit round!! Not sure that I will pay up for this at $25. I think that any of the lesser priced Perrin wines are considerably better

Sublime, fully mature wine with a wonderful slight browning around the edges. Although not gonna get any better, it sure is not going downhill, although I would not wait. This wine was stored in perfect conditions since purchase at the winery. Last one. Enjoyed at our favorite private club in town with steak & lobster.

This was absolutely delightful, an example of what great storage can do. Tiny bubbles right to the last drop, caramel color, and that mature nuttiness on the palate. Last one, but enjoyed it immensely
