Really needs time to open up but worth the wait!
Opened 1 1/2 hrs before drinking. Starts a little muted with deep black fruits, some forest floor, & raspberry. Over the next couple of hours really blossomed. A little chocolate, plum, black raspberry.

Decanted ~ 90mins before dinner.
Strawberry, sour cherry, tar - all the classic barolo flavors. A little short on the finish but quite enjoyable and great pairing for sausage ravioli.

Beautiful! Chocolate, blackberry, a bit of blueberry. Drinking beautifully - low tannin, nice structure, finish a little short but wonderful flavors

Not rating this based on 1 bottle as it may have been flawed.
Neutral nose but odd flavors, almost a hint of turpentine? With food this seemed to improve but nothing to write home about. I hope to try again and hope this was just a 1 bottle disappointment

Surprised how well this was since my last bottle seemed a little weary.
This had good depth, black fruit, lingering finish.

While I found the nose very light, the wine is drinking very well right now. Lots of red fruits - cherry, raspberry - with a little earth & forest floor going on too.

Nice full-bodied wine, black fruit, some tannin lingers but no reason to delay, this won’t improve more.

Nose of rose, spice, blackberry compote. Palate feels a little muted 3 hours after opening. Hopefully just needs more time to breath, it is too late for it to still be sleeping. Lots of muted flavors just looking for a little more fruit?

Better than the first bottle a few weeks ago. Little oak and more lemon/lemon curd than you usually get in a CA Chardonnay.
Good food pairing wine with enough acid to works w many dishes. A little bit too much lemon for me to enjoy by itself. Well made.

Day 2 a real step up. Day 1 was very enjoyable, lots of black fruit, some pencil shavings, some blueberry. Day 2 the graphite/shavings faded and blueberries became more pronounced.
Black in the glass, plum on the nose, full mouthfeel.

Light style, crushed strawberries & tart cherry. Cilantro on the pork stew over powered it a bit. Continued to evolve over the next hour+ but short finish is disappointing.

Great pairing for our halibut dinner. Enough body to work with the spices & hot pepper, but soft enough to compliment the fish.

Lots of dark fruit! At6 yes I thought it maybe a little young, but no reason to wait with this. The cab/Merlot delivers nicely rounded flavors.

A 7 yr old zin & drinking beautifully. The nose belies the dusty fruit that the glass delivers. Bramble, blackberry, & a hint of chocolate?

Dark berries, sour cherries, leather - all classic CdP flavors in the glass. Probably better it decanted but who wants to wait?

Structurally fine, lighter style than my preference.
Mellow nose of dark fruits, very pleasant.
On the palette this does deliver black fruit - blackberry, plum, and a hint of strawberry.
Finish a little short but tasty.

Opened, not decanted, 2 hrs before having w steak & grilled veggies. Great match! Fruit still very lively, mild tannins, very mild nose but lots of dried cherry & strawberry on the palette.
Drink up, it won’t get better!

PnP but I think it would have benefited from decanting or at least letting it breath a couple of hours before drinking.
Fruit on the nose, black fruit on the front of the palate. A little muted mid-palate which was its only flaw. Those flavors, however could have been hidden by the spice on the steak tips.
Enjoyable at the price I was able to get it, at full price it would have been a disappointment.

Nearly black in the grass with dark fruit flavors. Plum comes through with a bit of cedar. Strong mid palette but finish is a little muted.
Last bottle but finally living up to its reputation.

Lively nose, bramble, dark cherry & plum. Fruit may have topped out. Still flavorful but I don’t see it evolving more, in a positive way.
Over the course of 3 hours deeper flavors did appear, probably would have benefited fro decanting. Glad there are a couple of bottles left!

Everything you’d expect from a Sonoma cab - dark fruit, softer and less of a fruit bomb than you often find in Napa.

PnP, a gentle nose and complimentary flavors - strawberry, a hint of cherry, & a little tartness on the finish.
However over 90 mins it opened nicely to also reveal some brush & forest floor and with slight mushroom. This really came into its own with the chance to breath, I only wish I had more.

Cork broke so decanted, I think that helped as it opened beautifully during dinner.
Nearly black in the glass w bouquet of Roses, dark fruit esp blueberry.
Rich and full bodied with plenty of life in it!

Takes a while to open up. Opened ~2 hrs before pouring with dinner. At that point nothing to rave about, a little sour cherry, plum and other dark fruits, but feeling rather closed.
By end of dinner and next day the sweeter fruits really came through making it much more enjoyable.

Pear and peach on the nose. Slight grapefruit pith, pear flavors with a reasonable finish.
Caution is to not serve too cold! It really mutes the flavors.

Second bottle of the evening. Both had been opened for a couple of hours.
This was more enjoyable than the first but again lacking the power some have referred to.
An enjoyable wine, well made w classic strawberry notes and a little spice.

Opened but not decanted about 1 hour before dinner. I should have opened it 3 hrs earlier and decanted it!!
Initially (w dinner- lamb chops) it truck me as light and perhaps the fruit was lost. 2 hours later and it was really staring to open.
Nearly black in the glass, plum and blackberry on the nose. As it revealed itself it was lots of dark fruit, a hint of eucalyptus and lilac. A little light in the finish still, but mid-palette is full of dense flavors.

Day 2, a little more subtle flavors typical of Pinot.
No flaws but not noteworthy either. Clearly a long decant is needed.
