I got a quick sample from LILJA and didn't take any notes.

The wine opens up with a very reductive and crazy complex nose with loads of burnt matches, smoke from crushed stones, salt stone, rich stone fruit, grilled lemons, licorice, fresh garrigue and a hint of oak. Lovely but slightly weird nose.

Dry on the palate with a medium acidity and medium(+) body. Rich and oily texture. The flavor intensity is medium(+) with flavors of ripe stone fruit, sweet lemon juice, sea salt, fresh herbs and some oak. The finish is medium(+).

This is the second vintage I've tasted of this wine and I'm as impressed as I was with the 2013. Maybe a bit different from the whites I usually drink but, of course, in a good way. This is high quality stuff with really good intensity and lots of personality. Would love to see how this turn out with some bottle aging because this has stuffing to last for at least 5 years or so. I'll try to save some!

Krassen's note nails it.

Texture is weighty and almost almost knife-life in precision. There is great acidity that is drying on the tongue during the finish. Fresh apples, yellow, something between a red delicious and McIntosh apple is a brilliant characterization.

Delicious. $28-29 locally.
