Cold not tell if this bottle had gone south, but the heavy sulfur/burnt rubber refused to burn off and the wine remained undrinkable.

A great example of Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir. Leans toward less ripe fruit, lower alcohol. Beautiful dusty floral nose followed by "pretty" red fruit. Could be confused with a Whitcraft.

.This wine is going to be beautiful. I guessing this will take 7-10 years to realize its potential. Light in color and sour on the palate right now. Decanted, it took hours to open up. This wine reminds me of a Thomas Pinot Noir from Oregon that we opened about 8 years to early. Patience

This is a true expression of Anderson Valley Pinot. Floral rose petal nose, and that pixie stick fruit. The cranberry and light red fruit's sour side that was there as a youngster is now just an accent. Total balance with a medium finish that leaves your mouth watering for more.

Wow. A wine that originally showed nothing but sour red fruit now seems to be in perfect balance. A pretty nose. Cranberry without an edge, and a moderate but beautiful finish.

Nose was muted for a Pinot Noir and remained so throughout the bottle. Initially the wine was fairly nondescript. After about thirty to forty minutes the wine developed a subtle darkness. Dark plum and berry. What carried this wine was the finish. Contrary to the nose, this wine finished strong with lingering fruit that seemed to go on forever. Guessing this would benefit from another 3 years in the cellar.

Very nice. A truly dry salmon colored rose. Actually has a floral nose. The palate is fresh but extremely light strawberry. Residual sugar has to be next to nothing. Enjoyable.

Fermentation must have taken place at a really cold temperature. The wine is doing the banana thing. Banana on the nose and banana on the palate. Hard to drink. Did not finish bottle.

What a treat. Somewhat anemic in color , you are immediately fooled by what is in the glass. An exceptional floral nose that stays around for every sip. Mostly lighter red fruits greet the palate and slowly develop ever increasing the pleasure of the palate. Some would say burgundian in style. Maybe, just one heck of a California Pinot. What a find!

What perfection. In total balance. Light crushed flower nose, light, yet satisfying fruit, and a finish that lingered.

If you like high alcohol, the appearance of Syrah, and gobs of black fruit-this is for you. If you like nuanced Pinot Noir, try something different.

What a pretty wine. A nice break from the tannin heavy things that won't be drinkable for ten years. This thing dinks like a pinot noir.

Nice Pinot nose with a hint of floral. On the palate is dark, dark fruit with some earthy spice and a richness that permeates the mouth and hangs on for a long enjoyable finish. First La Encantada was from Tyler Wines. Neither disappoints.

The 08's are probably the miost complete and complex wines from WesMar while maintaining the trademark WesMar nose and finish that carries from vintage to vintage.

Paid $13 for this and it drank like a $30 bottle. Even held up for 4 days in the refrigerator until we could finish it. Enough said.

Totally differnt than previous vintage. This was almost desert wine sweet. Finish was just awful. Used in a chicken dish.

Impressive balance. Clear light gold color. A litlle lemom with some white grapefruit is well balanced by some mineral and darn near perfect acidity. Finish is medium but unmistakably French. This is a great wine at a great price point.

Must be decanted and the wine will improve over a two to three day period. Pretty Pinot nose, the color is a transparent and flawless rose red. Dusty red fruit with dark undertones. Great complexity that allowed the wine to ever evolve in the glass. Thomas Pinot remains remarkable year after year.

Initially not alot of Pinot characteristics. In the glass floral qualities develop and bright cherry fruits abound. Smooth, not alot of Sonoma Coast undertones (sage, earthiness, etc). Good finish.

Nice pinot nose. Fruit forward with a nice blend of red and black fruits, predominately red. Each sip reveals the traditional RRV baking spices and mouthfeel. Wine has the structure and balance for aging, but is drinking great now. The wine remained excellent in the bottle for a glass over the next two days.

What a beautiul wine in the glass, such purity. A litlle funk on the nose, Lighter red fruits with a spicy herb kiss. Althouth very tasty the wine is still young, 2 to 3 hours decanting or 2 to 3 more years in the bottle.

Still hot and needs at least an hour to unfold. Pretty cherry blossom nose with other floral. Gobs of red berry balanced by some dark fruit. You have to hunt for the RRV spice. Other thna the heat this wine shows great balamce.

Most balanced SB I have ever had. A little lime, some pear, along with green melon are all perfectly married. Finish is clean with a nice message left on the palate.

Tannins are smoothed out even though a reminent remains revealing their presence. The wine has no nose for about thirty minutes. The wine then opens revealing a dusty nose with dark, almost toasted cherry skins on the front palate. The fruit is dark and ample without alot of mouthfeel. The finish is very smooth with acidity on the low side, There is alot going on here that requires patience that is well rewarded. Requires attention.

Dark black fruits prevails with a hint of black pepper om the nose. This wine has integrated well over the last couple of years showing a balance of oak and fruit (creamy blackberry, dark plum). The finish is rich with a little pepper tingle and at the club price of $30, this is a value. Good enough that I don't miss the Frying Pan Vineyard that is no longer produced.

Beautiful nose thats drifts out of the glass. Rich on the palate with dark cherry, plum, black currant with a hint of spice. The tannins have mellowed sufficiently (very tannic on first try back in 08) and the acidity is darn near perfect. This wine is showing both grace and balance and i have no regrets drinking it now.

Good chard for price. Brian Babcock's chardonnays are always well balanced, never over oaked, creamy on the palate and very fairly priced.

More concentrated than the 09. No grassy hints here, all fruit, predominately honeydew melon and green apple. The mouthfeel is lush with a a very rich, almost desert like finish.

Good pinot nose once the ever so slight sulfur burned off. Soft sweet tart up front with some dark fruit. The mid palate lacked direction and the finish, although medium at best, was extremely pleasant. Recommend decanteing a minimum of one hour. Nice, but had just as good for half the price.

Great price point for this pinot. Pretty pinot nose with floral hints. Medium garnet in the glass. In the mouth the fruit is ample with dark cherry, raspberry, hint of vanilla with dusty floral notes. Not a bottle for the long haul. Would drink in the next 24 months.

Very well balanced pinot. Tannins are perfect giving just a slight coffee twang on the side of the tongue. Good pinot nose. Color is clean, you can see through the glass. A very complex wine that finishes without an overly sweet mouthfeel. Great price point for this bottle.

Overpriced, so I was glad to pay under $40 ($54 at Winery). Not Domaine Serenes' best effort. Spend the extra money for the Jeruselem or Bradford.
