Bottle aging seems to do this one a favor, however still tastes as fresh as a baby, this one will survive all of us, and most of any other wines.

A feminine style of Barolo that is more fruit driven. Most likely not made for long cellaring so glad I opened one. It is sealed by a synthetic cork.

As my last bottle it had slight cork leakage and an off putting smell. After decanting for at least 2 hours that smell went away and the wine seems to be OK still. Very approachable and soft now. I would not cellar it any longer.

Excellent condition in 2023. Cork half soaked in my bottle so check the humidity in your cellar . Wine will not get better than this but those that have good cellars do not have to worry , no oxidation at all btw , some sediment at the bottom.

2015 Château du Val d'Or St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Substantially improved over the last 3 years (purchases in 2020), drink now or in 2 years

Spicy Nebbiolo , will benefit from another 2 years of cellaring

Interesting , not sure why people want to cellar this, as this is clearly intended to drink now (2023) due to its fruit driven characteristics and smoothness . Well balanced .

Completely DOA, I do not believe there are bottles of this age from this winemaker that are still drinkable .

Underwhelming below average performance for a 1er cru vintage 2018 compared to others. Rather mellow and flat.

Its getting better, over time. Still would benefit for a year or two in the cellar

Maybe a little of the fruit aromas dissolved of over time, still coffee, clove and chocolate in there. Also unexpected lots of tannins and youthfulness, could easily last 10 years more in the cellar (tasted in summer 2020). I thought it didn't need decanting, my bad, it requires 2 hrs at least at this time. In my opinion lacking some finesse compared to the other good Barolos from this producer or same vintage premium competitors, as this is a real powerhouse, still it is a great pleasure to drink. Above average Barolo, and the winemakers deserve more recognition.

Well made but a little bit one dimensional for the price.

Still in its youth in my opinion. Will last 10 years longer in the cellar at least.

Now the tannins are integrated (2020) this vintage seems a bit closed right now. After 1 day of decanting it starts to open a bit, and this lighter style of Barolo works combined with soft cheeses. It may be a bit more interesting in a few years from now, but I am not overly impressed by it.
Red
More like an average burgundy laking the characteristics of genuine 1er Cru Nuits St. George like earthiness and full body.

Definitely comparable to some of the lower end Barolo's while paying a lot less. It is worthwhile to keep some bottles of this vintage for one or two years as it will improve. Some youthful acidity and tannins will ensure a longer life. For now I take it with some creamy risotto with mushrooms.

Takes really a long time to decant, for me 24 hours. Therefore wait until end of 2019

Best with chocolate based dessert. It is NV but you can keep it a long time since it's fortified wine. Above average compared to other banyuls producers.

Didn't like it as much as 2015 or 2013. Has higher acidity and maybe therefore hides some complexity of previous years or is less balanced.

Agree totally with previous reviews. Also some apricot and Appel in the flavor. Excellent now, do not keep this year any longer.

Medium bodied easy drinker. Do not keep any longer I recommend as you can, at this date, drink it right out of the bottle without any needed decantation. Relatively straight forward Rioja which will not gain much from cellaring any longer.

This is created not for cellaring but to be drunk young. Very easy going chardonnay with some exotic fruits. A little overpriced but well made. Not comparable to other efforts of Ramonet.

A bit too bland for a riserva

Decent Pinot but not comparable to the highlight of 2011. Wood is less present here and the result needs a bit of cooling. It is still an unusually high quality wine compared to other Dutch produce..

A bit underrated by a former reviewer at CT. I would give it 91 points as the terroir is coming through in this one :-). It smells and tastes like a good bourgogne village and maybe thats why they call it Pinot Noir instead of Spätburgunder.
