A wonderful wine with effervescence, but bubbles that disappear quickly at this age. Notes of candied orange was a strong flavor.

What a showing! Disgorged in 2014 and I’ve had since 2016. It was everything I hoped for. The palate was savory and bursting with grilled apricot. Just the right amount of acidity and oxidation. Loved it! It’s why Selosse is Selosse!

Such a wonderful bottle of wine. I love the elegance of the fine tannins and delicate red berries. This is such an incredible iteration of Nebbiolo. To me, it’s like great burgundy.

Really good... This wine is so polished now. Blueberries and cherries with the complexity that Bordeaux can deliver. Can’t wait to try my next bottles. I am going to look for more.

I think my expectations may have been too high from the last bottle. Still enjoyable and very drinkable, but a smidge too sweet and really one note with boysenberry as the most pronounced flavors. The reality is for $27, it’s pretty darn good.

I have to tell you, this one surprised me. Bought it at least 10 years ago when I collected more Italian wine. I really enjoyed this. Feel like it’s bold fruit forward style has diminished and now has a more integrated balance palate with soft tannins. It’s in a great spot.

This was quite nice. Balanced red fruit and a minerality. The word gossamer comes to mind. Everything you want in a 20 year old grand cru from Gevrey Chambertin. Paired so well with our steak and other food at LA’s Cut. This what Burgundy can be....

A wonderfully special Gruner. Reid Lamm is special and this was no exception. Used the Coravin. The first night it paired well with Chinese food and the next night with pea ravioli in a butter sauce.

More of what I expected from this wine. Two glasses in a coravin. The tannins have resolved themselves and the wine exhibited more Chambolle characteristics than the last bottle we had with blue fruit on the palate and violets on the nose.

Almost savory after a few minutes in the glass. At this point, the wine exhibited the characteristics of an aged village burg. Very drinkable and comely. At the end of its short life.

Upon opening, the wine was initially disjointed and hot. Within 30 minutes, it harmonized, developing balance with dark cherry flavors on the palate. A fine Chianti good with food that still has some grip in the mid-palate.

The edges are all gone, the black cherry is bursting from this delightfully elegant super Tuscan that is always a crowd pleaser. I would say this is starting to show its age, but at 13, who can blame it! Time to drink up.
