A beast! Smoked meat, bacon, some iron. Needs a bit more time to mellow I think, but great in the right setting.

A bit austere, but excellent with delice de bourgone and truffle creme fraiche. Lemon zest and honeysuckle, but subtle. Could use a bit more time in bottle I think, but top end is limited

Excellent bottle. Beautiful garrigue and bacon fat enjoyed with pork belly and lamb chops at Butchart Gardens. Delightful. Still young, unctuous and silky. Now - 2035

Enjoyed with white truffles on pasta, another ethereal pairing. This bottle was on the back side of the slope but just barely. I don't think it will get better from here, but could be some bottle variation, of course... 30 min to blow the funk off, then tertiary notes with adequate structure, better with the pasta than by itself.

So happy this was a good bottle. Arrived and kid down for 2 weeks and then drank. On the back side of the hill but a great mature cdp. Garrigue on the nose and soft on the palate.

First bottle of the night oxidized, second better. Last sip was most evolved. Give this some time to breathe. Still not as good as my first experience with this wine, but may be a provenance issue. Still recommend for a unique experience.

Infanticide for science. Opened at 10 am and double decanted for the evening. Last sip was still the best sip. Unctuous fruit with soft tannins. Will only improve over next 15 years.

Enjoyed next to an ‘05 SHL and both were incredible. The bouquet on this was top notch with perfect integration. In that middle phase before tertiary takes over but no hard edges. Love it. 10 more years easy.

Took an hour in the decanter but then opened up beautifully. Roasted meats, bacon, and white pepper, smooth on the back end. Great. Now-2030

Electric. Integrated red fruit with soft tannins. Great acidity. Baking spices and supple backbone. Ethereal savory strawberry rhubarb pie. Out of magnum. Drink now-2027. Note with help of grinner.

Beautiful young fruit. Relatively smooth tannins but could use a little more integration. Luckily enjoyed with a nice filet so that didn’t matter at all. Not great qpr but there isn’t much that is from 2018 Napa that is this good that I have found yet.

On plateau , delicious resolves tannins and soft fruit. Clear in the glass. Quite nice. Oldest burgundy I have had.
