2007 Château Chasse-Spleen Blanc Bordeaux Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
Beautiful blend of Semillion and Sauvignon Blanc (65/35) with tropical/tree fruit nose (apricot, peach, waxy, ripe to overripe pineapple) was fermented in barrel for 8 months, incredibly creamy, full
Red
Pencil, graphite, dusty tannins, cedar cigar box

Outstanding! Easily 99.9 points on Jenny scale. Savory, smooth, mysterious, black cherries all the way. Satin tannin, balanced.
Red
Incredibly youthful, dark red cherry, cocoa, a bit of smokiness (cigar ash) structure still in place, velvet tannin, long finish
Red
Baked ham, bacon, savory qualities, spice, all dark fruits here, med+ tannin, med acid

I call this a "no spitter" with a rich mouthfeel, cranberry, pomegranate, orange zest, fig jam, I loved it. Balanced in every way

Puts the F in FUNKY. Yuck. Consensus among my peers was blue cheese on nose, nobody could get past it. Declining fruit and acid, flabby.

Ridiculous. Best SB I have ever had. They blended in Viognier and Semillion. Incredibly round, smooth. Vibrant peach, vanilla (was aged in some oak) honey, pineapple, cantelope.

decent tannin, not as expressive fruit-wise, sour blackcherry dominates nose, so-so wine, was probably in its prime 5-8 yrs ago

all horse saddle, old leather on nose but absolutely crazy good on palate, incredibly smooth,velvet-like tannins with a perfectly matching acidity, more earth than fruit overall

strong gasoline component on nose mixed with buttered popcorn (strangely intriguing, had to keep going back) a lot of vanilla/oak still around but the fruit is muted and fading

seriously awesome, killer nose of baked pear, baked lemon, lees, toasted brioche, butter, appears to be an indestructible sparkler, obviously bubbles long gone but still balanced with med+ acid

on its way out but acidity was surprisingly med+, definitely "tired" mixed berry fruits on nose, faint hints of mint/eucalyptus
