Bricking around the edges, deep color, took an hour to really open up. Lovely but not profound.

Deep ruby red. Expressive nose. Alcohol is quite integrated even at this percentage. I'll let my remaining bottles sleep for a few more years.

Deep ruby red. Wonderful rich nose of fruit. Tannins to support further aging. Slightly pruny note.

Tightly wound and opened up nicely over the course of 2 days.

Expressive nose of strawberry preserves. Well balanced and minimal oak influence. A bigger Oregon pinot for sure, but a steal of a QPR.

Some initial funk on the nose that dissipated after about 30 minutes. Nice acidity and fruit. A well balanced Burg. Definitely on the young side and will benefit from additional cellar time.

Opened 5 hours prior to consuming. Always a crowd favorite. Well balanced in all regards.

Cork came out fine with the aid of an ah-so. Deep red with very minimal bricking around the meniscus. Upon opening, the nose was of a classic aged Bordeaux - cedar, pencil shaving, and some fruit. Nice acidity that was almost shrill in the beginning, which finally gave way to lovely fruit and a nice texture.

Opened 2 hours prior to consuming. Deep color, nose of cherry cough syrup and alcohol. Super ripe and candied fruit that was borderline jammy. Seemingly balanced but I wouldn't sit on this for too long.

Just love the '99 Chevillons. Deep red, touch of funk upon opening which gave way to a wonderful aroma of deep cherry and spice.

Such a great QPR and always a crowd favorite. Crisp, apple, minerality, and a good acidic balance.

Alcohol and jam on the nose. Significant depth on the palate. Will check in on my last bottle in 2-3 years.

Reticent nose upon uncorking the bottle. Earthy and fragrant. This was much better on day 2 when it really opened up.

Sweet and sticky. Likely due to drinking after a Rivers Marie pinot.

Rich modern style burg. Might have mistaken this for an Anderson Valley pinot. Dark cherry color, oak dominated the nose though I would hope that this would integrate with age. No doubt this will need lots of time, but drinking well now.

Ruby color, bright red fruit, cherry, some earthy nose. Opened and poured 15-20 minutes later. This wine was quite young and I'd like to check in on a bottle in 5 years.

Initially had a reticent nose that opened up within 30 minutes to express pure clean red pinot fruit with some barnyard notes. Over the course of next 2 hours, this really blossomed into a wonderful wine. While still young with noticeable tannins this was very enjoyable and I have no doubt this will be even more stellar in 5-10 years.

Initially some barnyard that gave way to sweet red fruit, cassis, and some cigar box notes. The wine evolved in the glass within 30 minutes and was fully open within an hour. Tannins were nicely developed and help up to a meal of diverse flavors. While drinking great now, it appears to have long life ahead of it and I would not hesitate to open a bottle in 5-10 years.

A big CA pinot. Glycerol and sappiness. Red pinot fruit and a velvety mouth perhaps driven by the alcohol. Some prominence of oak but seems integrated.

Clean and pure pinot fruit. Started to open up about an hour after the bottle was uncorked. Nice bottle to drink while '02 and '05 bottles are still sleeping. Definitely would drink this bottle for its fruit and not cellar for too long.

Initial funk that blew off in 10 minutes. Deep ruby color. Tannins are nicely resolved. Nice balance between fruit, acid, and tannins. Has a bit of barnyard nose. Not a wow bottle of burgundy but a nice bottle to drink at dinner.

Basic pinot. Nothing good to write, but it filled the requirement of needing a glass of wine on a Tuesday night.

Alcohol 14.9%. Popped and poured. Dark ruby color. Red fruit on the nose, some spice and vanilla with a medium finish. Overall, one dimensional with dominating alcohol. Overpriced for what it is.

Some initial funk took about 15 minutes to blow off. Nice clean cherry flavor and moderate oak. An hour later this really started to open up and develop into a nice wine. Will buy again and look forward to the 2008 release.

Could easily mistake this for a California pinot. Rich and dense ruby color with some heat and evident alcohol. Clearly a warmer Oregon vintage. Slight cigarette ashtray nose which the whole table experienced. Not terrible, but wouldn't buy another.

Cork was a struggle to pull out, but was in excellent condition with wine about 1/3 the way up. Dark garnet/ruby color with a clear meniscus and a slightly hazy quality from the wine being, presumably, unfiltered. Sense of astringency on the back palate which went away once we decanted. Wonderful pure pinot fruit, tart/sour cherry flavors with structured tannins and good acidity. I'd presume this to last for decades.
