Somethings was strange about this bottle. It was fresh and had acidity, but the finish was very short and the fruit was very subdued. I wonder if this wine is not aging well or if it’s going through a “dumb” phase?? For a 12 year old wine at that level I’m a bit perplexed. Storage was optimal the whole time.

Wonderful fruit, acidity, but all in balance. Fragrant nose, long finish and a touch of pepper on the palate reminding me of a wonderful bottle of Northern Rhone.

This wine is singing now. At 13.5% alc. it's not too hot, but handles a nice steak or anything other than a delicate meal very well. Great balance, fruit, acidity -- all there. Will be perfect now and for another 3-5 years. Have at it!!!

I can't quite understand the high ratings. This wine was seriously lacking in acidity, which made it a bit sweet and cloying at times and did not deliver the kind of experience in my mouth that I expected. Will definitely wait with the other bottle in case something changes over the next decade.

This wine needs some air, but once opened up, is spectacular. In a lean, focused kind of way. It has a wonderful nose -- I could smell it for hours. A long crisp finish and great fruit. Not overly jammy, lean is the dominant word to describe this wine, but with a fair amount of acid, this will handle really well with a nice big steak.

Still very tight, had to decant for about 4 hours, but great structure, long finish, fruit is still fresh. Great CdP. Is still a bit young, so I'll wait for another year or 2 for the next one.

Still early. This wine is fresh, has lots of up front fruit (not jammy!) and is still tannic. But with a lot of air and a big meal to balance, it was fantastic!!!

Ooohhh ... what a wonderful wine. Riesling at its best. This is both very dry and ever so slightly laced with a hint of sweetness ... almost teasingly so. It's aged enough so that the texture is slightly viscous and it retains enough acidity so it does not taste flabby, but lively and fresh.
This wine, with some slightly spicy food, is heavenly!!!

This wine is something else. It's fresh and lively and has a slightly fruity/sour tinge -- like a very weak sour patch -- that sounds crazy, but that's what it reminds me of. If you have this wine with some stronger cheeses, it really rewards you.
One can almost taste the volcanic soil this wine comes from. Very interesting and unique, but definitely not a mainstream wine.

Awesome wine ... this keeps getting better. It's very much Burgundy style ... not a big wine, but a very light wine, but with a wonderful nose, good balance and that unmistakably floral Burgundy smell. Long finish and good acid levels make this wine a total winner and an absolute bargain IMO.

Amazing wine. But opened this bottle waaaay too early. By 8+ years, easily. I opened it and then left it decanted for 2 (!!!) days before it was opene enough and really sang. But it is still not fully integrated ... But: once this wine hits its stride, it will be amazing. Lots of tannins, great fruit and a very long finish.

Be patient with this wine and you will be rewarded!!!

The wine was still fresh, good fruit and acidity. Showed some bricking and had an overall good nose. It was enjoyable to drink and overall very good, but just did not have the "wow" factor it may have once had. Drink up what you have.
