2018 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles Chardonnay

Leflaive owns 2.75ha of Pucelles. Opulent nose of dense orchard fruits, buttery and waxy toast with subtle lifted spices. Great density and broad shouldered. Rich and energetic with superb acidity, knocking on Grand Cru doors. (89-90/100)

10/20/20, 8:31 AM - You have great tasting notes, but your scores do not reflect what's viewed as positive tasting notes. I saw your in another note that 89 is considered 'high' which is really misaligned with the rest of the CT community and makes your scores a bit misleading and unhelpful

2016 Weingut Keller Hubacker Riesling Großes Gewächs Rheinhessen

Initially rather tightly wound. Tropical fruit, hints of honey with medium high acidity. Slightly hollow in the mid palate, but a nice lingering finish. With air the mid palate starts to fill in, becoming much more well rounded. Delicious and a great wine, but I'm not sure the market hype/inflated pricing is quite justified.

7/21/20, 9:19 AM - I've tasted young Kellers in the past and agree that they're always tightly wound and never really come around for awhile. I have a couple bottles in the cellar that I'll wait several more years before opening. Unfortunately with the market hype around Keller now, I've probably been priced out of it now

Another horrible, overpriced, over hyped, Italian red wine. Nothing but tannin when young, no fruit, no body, no flavor when old. Horrible QPR, almost painful to think what I paid for this! At $67, there are dozens of domestic wines I would trade this for. I have 2 more bottles, anyone want them? Clearly there are people in CT who like this stuff.
